When you notice mineral deposits on your dishes or rings of hard-to-remove soap scum in your shower or bathtub, it usually means that the water supplied to your house is hard water. In other words, the water contains a significant amount of calcium. Although calcium is not harmful to drink, over time hard water will damage appliances and plumbing fixtures. or make give your drinking water an unpleasant taste. 6 Follow the manufacturer's instructions to install the water softener.
