Why toast in air fryer is the best way to cook your toast!

If you don’t have a toaster, this toast turns out evenly crispy every time.

Toast in air fryer oven or regular air fryer is ready in a matter of minutes!

You don’t have to flip your toast with this air fryer method!

Ingredients

Bread: Any bread of choice such as white bread, wheat bread, sourdough bread or brioche bread.

Air Fryer Safe Cooking Spray or Butter: You can use air fryer safe cooking spray or oil the grates on your air fryer. You can also pre-butter both sides of each bread slice.

How to make toast in air fryer

1. Preheat air fryer to 400°
2. Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Spray top of bread to avoid bread burning. Alternatively, you can pre-butter each slice of bread.
3. Place bread slices in fryer basket. Do not overfill basket. Bread should not overlap.
4. Cook for approximately 2-4 minutes on 400°
5. Enjoy your toast plain, with butter, jam, nut butter or toppings of your choice.
6. If this is your first time making toast in your air fryer, try lowest cook time as the thickness of the bread and air fryers cook times can vary.
7. Depending on your air fryer, the size of your fryer basket and amount of bread slices in the basket, you can cook for an additional 1 minutes until you reach your desired level of crispness for your toast in air fryer.

Pre-heating air fryer

I recommend pre-heating air fryer. However, if you choose not to pre-heat, add about 3-4 minutes to your cook time.

Check for crispiness at the end of your cook time and add additional cook time as needed until your toast reaches desired level of crispiness.

This recipe works for most all brands of air fryers. Start with the lower cook time the first time you make your toast in air fryer.

Air fryer toast bread temperature

While you can make air fryer toast at a number of different temperatures, we have found that the perfect air fryer toast bread temperature is 400 degrees.

Be sure to preheat your air fryer and butter each side of your bread or spray your air fryer basket with an air fryer safe cooking spray. This will yield the perfect no-flip toast in the air fryer.
