10 2023 Mini Hatchback
The Mini hatchback has always been one of the best-selling small cars on the market. The upcoming 2023 model has been refreshed inside and out. LED headlights will now come as standard fitment, as will Union Jack tail lights. The front grille has been redesigned, and a cool new "Multitone Roof" is available. Soul Blue, Alpine White, and Chili Red will all be selectable as a color gradient for the roof, continuing the Mini's traditionally high levels of personalization.
The 134-hp entry-level Cooper model will start at $23,400, going all the way up to $40,325 for the range-topping 228-hp John Cooper Works.
9 2023 Tesla Roadster
Tesla's first production model was the "Roadster," a sports car based on the Lotus Elise chassis and released in 2009. Going full circle, a new Roadster is due to be released in 2023.
Currently available for reservation, Tesla claims the Roadster will be "The quickest car in the world, with record-setting acceleration, range, and performance." These are no small claims, and we look forward to seeing production-ready models tested. The figures look seriously impressive, with a 1.9 second 0-60 mph time, a 620-mile range, and a top speed over 250 mph.

8 2023 Toyota Corolla GR
Following on from the recent success of the "Gazoo Racing" GR Supra and GR Yaris, Toyota have been working on a GR version of the Corolla.
The new car looks like it could be a seriously hot model, with a more powerful version of the engine fitted in the GR Yaris. Under the hood will be a 300-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter, 3-cylinder unit. A Gazoo Racing all-wheel drive system will come as standard, and a six-speed manual gearbox will help ensure the drive is engaging.
7 2024 Ford Mustang S650
The Ford Mustang is rapidly approaching its 60th birthday, and with a new seventh-generation model upcoming, hopes are high. The car is going to receive a full refresh, with both the interior and exterior being changed. Thankfully, the iconic 5.0-liter Coyote V8 looks likely to be included in the line-up, alongside a brand new hybrid model.
It is anticipated the car will be unveiled later in 2022, so for full details, there is a little while longer to wait. If the S650 is anything like the current model, it should prove to be a sales success, and take the model forward into the future.
6 2023 Porsche Macan EV
With a rumored launch date of 2023, the fully electric Porsche Macan is an exciting proposition. To the front, the car sports the same quad lights that the Taycan EV also has. The car appears to be heading towards a coupe-like design, rather than the slightly boxier current Macan.
Like all Porsche models, the car will be aiming to deliver high performance and driver engagement levels. To this extent, the Macan EV is likely to feature 800-volt architecture like the Taycan and should consequently come with a generous range.

5 2023 Chevrolet C8 Z06
Set to become Chevrolet's fastest and most capable car ever made, the 2023 C8 Z06 is eagerly anticipated. With a high revving 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8, the car will have plenty of power. The 670 hp means the car can rocket from 0-60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
The interior is a big step up from previous generation cars and uses carbon fiber widely. The car should also be fairly practical, with both front and rear cargo areas.
4 2024 Cupra Tavascan
Cupra is seeking to grab a slice of the growing electric SUV market with the upcoming Tavascan. Currently, in concept form, the car is expected to be released in 2024 and will be based on the Volkswagen MEB platform.
Like many Cupra cars, the Tavascan will have a sleek and sporty design, and will probably look very similar to the concept. Powering this car are two electric motors producing 225 kW and sending power to all four wheels. With a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery the concept has a 280-mile range, so we can expect at least this in the production version.
3 2024 Renault 5 Electric
The original Renault 5 was released back in 1972, and production continued until 1996. Renault has decided to revive the car and is bringing it back as a fully electric, retro-inspired model. The prototype is a 5-door model, and its design clearly references the old model.
Powering the prototype will be the same electric powertrain that can be found in the Renault ZOE. We can expect the production-ready model will mirror this, so a 245-mile range from a 50-kWh battery looks likely. Should it prove popular, it could even become a replacement for Renault's current popular supermini, the Clio.
2 2025 Alpine GT X-Over
French sports car manufacturer Alpine is best known for its A110 sports coupe. The brand is now diversifying and taking advantage of the electric revolution. Alpine's first foray into the SUV market will be with a cross-over based on the Renault Megane e-tech. No official images have yet been released, but between the Megane and Alpine's Sport X concept car, we can imagine what it may look like. Current testing is taking place using a modified Dacia Duster.
The car will be known as the GT X-Over and is likely to feature a similar design language to the iconic A110, so we could expect a quad-headlight design. A triple motor setup is looking likely, but we will have to wait until nearer release for performance figures.
1 2025 Volkswagen ID.Life GTX
Volkswagen has unveiled a prototype version of an upcoming compact crossover, currently named the ID.Life. The model will utilize a new "MEB" platform, which will support entry-level models.
Other VW ID models such as the ID 4 and ID 5 are available as higher-performance GTX versions, so it makes sense this would continue with the ID.Life. The concept car provides a 258-mile range from its 234hp electric motor, which is combined with a 57 kWh battery. We can therefore expect the GTX's performance to match or exceed this. Both the ID 4 and ID 5 GTX utilize a 299hp, dual-motor, four-wheel-drive setup, so this looks the most likely option currently.
