Textured Fringe

There's no better way to give yourself an effortlessly chic appearance than by adding a tousled, messy texture to your hair (bangs included!) à la Taylor Swift. While a salt spray is typically your best bet for creating this look, too much product can cause bangs to become greasy and separate. "This can happen from humidity, sweat, or even just natural oil production," explains Matrix stylist George Papanikolas. Use a dry shampoo at the roots post-styling — it will add gentle movement to your bangs while preventing them from becoming greasy.

Side Braid

If you wake up with a few weird kinks in your bangs after sleeping on them funny, pay attention. Margot Robbie's look is a great option for keeping your bangs out of your face without having to take too much time out of your day to style them, says Suave Professionals celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho. Simply take your bangs and French braid them to one side and secure with an elastic. Add a few waves to your hair for an extra bohemian vibe.

Pulling your bangs up on top of your head like Gabrielle Union can help keep your bangs out of your eyes while also being the perfect, classy hairstyle for both casual or formal events. To get this look for yourself, simply section off your bangs and begin teasing them at the root. Once you've reached the desired volume at the crown of your head, brush your bangs back and secure with two bobby pins.

"Mousse is essential for styling bangs since it's the lightest product that you can use on hair that won't weigh it down," explains Papanikolas. To recreate Nicole Richie's look, apply a lightweight mousse to wet hair while running your fingers from the front of your face to the back of your head. Then dry hair using a diffuser to set the style in place.

Accessorized Bobby Pins

One of the hardest aspects about styling bangs is the fact that it's pretty much impossible to have them reach back far enough for an updo. To fix this issue, Cho recommends using bobby pins to secure your bangs down while the rest of your hair is either loose or up in a sleek pony. Try stacking pins like the Goody Classics Bobby Slides ($4; kmart.com) side-by-side to add an edgy appearance to the overall look.

Center Braid

Only have five minutes to do your hair in the morning? Try Gigi Hadid's easy center braid to pull the bangs back from your face before rushing out the door. Papanikolas recommends applying a texturizing product like the Matrix Biologe Clean & Full Dry Shampoo ($17; ulta.com) to give the hair extra grip to make it easier for braiding.

Switch out your typical side part for a center one and pull the bangs to either side of your face into tiny twists, like Chanel Iman did. Pro tip: Cho recommends adding a bit of mousse like the Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Volumizing Soufflé Mousse ($5; walmart.com) to the whole head before pulling the hair back in order to add fullness and extra volume.

Sleek and Straight

"If you have naturally straight hair like Karlie Kloss, blow bangs dry by pointing the nozzle of the dryer down towards your nose," explains Papanikolas. "If your hair has a natural wave or curl, you will need to use a small, round brush to get them smooth by first drying them in one direction, then flipping to the other direction, and finally straight down to finish." For extra shine, apply a dollop of a shine-inducing serum like Honest Beauty's Honestly Polished Dry Conditioner + Shine Serum ($20; honestbeauty.com) into the hair after styling.

You can create Shailene Woodley's slicked back look by applying a texturizing paste or mousse product to wet hair and brushing it back towards the nape of your neck with a paddle brush. Use a blow dryer to dry the hair back towards the nape of the neck. Then spritz hair with strong-hold hairspray while continuing to brush the hair back to ensure that the look will stay put throughout the day.

Retro Sweep

A side-swept, retro bang will add a romantic twist to any hairstyle, but to recreate the look yourself, the key is to give your bangs as much volume as possible. "Start by giving bangs extra lift and volume," explains Papanikolas. "Use a medium-sized, boar bristle brush and blow the bangs forward and up to give it a face framing bend." Got a little extra time to style? Add a headband or a headscarf for an ultra-feminine look.
