• 1/11 1/11 Albus Dumbledore: Richard Harris played Albus Dumbledore for the first two movies. However, when he passed away, the role was given to Michael Gambon for the remaining movies.
• 2/11 2/11 Elphias Doge: In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," Doge was played by Peter Cartwright. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1," he was played by David Ryall.
• 3/11 3/11 Griphook the Goblin: Verne Troyer portrayed the goblin in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," though he was voiced by Warwick Davis. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," Warwick took over the entire role.
• 4/11 4/11 Gryffindor Portrait: Elizabeth Spriggs protrayed the portrait in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and was replaced by Dawn French for "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."
• 5/11 5/11 Helena Ravenclaw: In "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," known only as the Grey Lady, she is played by Nina Young. After she's revealed as Helena Ravenclaw in the "Deathly Hallows," she is played by Kelly Macdonald.
• 6/11 6/11 Katie Bell: Emily Dale played Katie Bell when Katie was just an extra with no lines. When the part became larger, it was played by Georgina Leonidas.
• 7/11 7/11 Lavender Brown: In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," Lavender is billed as an extra with no lines and is played by Kathleen Cauley and Jennifer Smith, respectively. In "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and both the "Deathly Hallows" films, she is played by Jessie Cave.
• 8/11 8/11 Mafalda Hopkirk: Harry received a howler from Mafalda in "Order of the Phoenix" and it was voiced by Jessica Hynes. When Mafalda actually makes an appearance in "Deathly Hallows: Part 1," Sophie Thompson took the role.
• 9/11 9/11 Pansy Parkinson: Genevieve Gaunt played Pansy Parkinson in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." The role was then given to Scarlett Byrne for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and both the "Deathly Hallows" films.
• 10/11 10/11 Tom the Innkeeper: In "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," the owner of the Leaky Cauldron was played by Derek Deadman. When he appeared in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," he was played by Jim Tavaré.
• 11/11 11/11 Lord Voldemort: When Voldemort was attached to Quirrell's head in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," Richard Bremmer played the dark lord. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was subsequently played by Ralph Fiennes.
