What is an Angel Messenger?

The word angel means ‘messenger’ and when you begin to connect with the angels in your life, you may soon notice how they communicate and send messages to us as we go about our everyday lives.

An angel messenger is a celestial being who acts as a divine messenger to deliver guidance and support humans on behalf of God or the divine. According to spiritual traditions, angel messengers can take various forms—some portray them as winged figures of light while others describe messengers that appear in human form. You’ll definitely be floating on cloud nine if you spot this awe-inspiring sign – an incredible cloud formation in the shape of an angel or a heart. The aroma drifting through the air as you meander down the path is reminiscent of the heavenly fragrance the angels can send wafting gently into your life completely out of nowhere. Even if it’s just for a fleeting moment, floating on the breeze, it’s thought that this is an angel messenger reminding you that you are loved. Other evocative smells you may encounter that stir up memories include food that reminds you of someone special or a familiar fragrance - some say they have smelt the perfume of a deceased loved one and believed it was a sign that they’re still with them in spirit.

A Flurry of Feathers

…or even a single feather is thought to be one of the most familiar ways an angel messenger may attempt to connect with us. There's a saying, "When feathers appear, angels are near", so if you keep finding feathers appearing out of nowhere, often in random places like your doorstep or on the ground, chances are it’s a gift from the angels. Different colours are reported as having different meanings. For example, finding a white feather can be a comforting sign to reassure you that your deceased loved ones are safe and watching over you. A brown feather, meanwhile, can signify stability in your home life.

Meaningful Music

One way you can really ‘tune in’ with your angels is to listen up when you have a particular song stuck in your head – especially if it isn’t one you’ve heard recently. Or, if you press shuffle on your playlist and the perfect song for your current state of mind and circumstances randomly pops up, that can be a telltale sign too. Listen carefully to what the lyrics are saying. Do they have a personal meaning to you? The right song can touch a chord and get straight to the heart of the matter. If you notice this happening to you, pay close attention as an angel messenger may be trying to reach out to you.

Nature’s Winged Messengers

You may already be familiar with the phrase ‘Robins appear when loved ones are near’. A common interpretation is that when you notice a robin, especially if you spot it when you wouldn’t expect to, it’s an angel messenger letting you know that a loved one who’s passed away is okay. You may also have heard the saying ‘Butterflies are the heaven-sent kisses of an angel’. If you’re finding coins are cropping up frequently in unexpected places in your life, see them as a special gift to treasure from an angel messenger. Collect them as a sign of celestial support and cherish them as little keepsakes to remind you of the angels.

The Power of Words

When you ask the angels for a sign, sometimes you will receive literally just that! An advert on the side of a bus, a street sign with the name of an angel or a billboard that contains something that may resonate with your current situation. Pay special attention to any recurring themes. Magazines and books may lay open on a specific page, ready to catch your attention and lead you to something you’ll find extremely useful. All suggest that the angels are listening to you and want to help.

Shimmer and Sparkle

As beings of pure light, it’s believed that angels can show their presence through sparkles or flashes of light in various colours, radiating their energy to those who have asked for assistance or guidance. Different archangels are reported to represent different colours. For example, if you need a strong dose of courage to power you through a challenging event in your life, you may experience the strong blue light of Archangel Michael.

Over the Rainbow

Have you spotted a rainbow even when it’s not raining? While the angels might not be able to lead you to a pot of gold, a rainbow could be a sign of an angel messenger sending you divine love and energy to colour your world. A symbol of hope and peace, the rainbow is uplifting and encouraging and points to a bright future ahead.

Feel the Presence

When angels are near, some experts say you may notice a cool breeze, a dip in the room's temperature, or feel a warm, loving presence close by. Some have experienced ringing in the ears or tingling on the crown of their heads, which they believe are signs that the angels are trying to communicate. Rest assured, it’s said that you will feel completely comfortable and safe with the angels, however they may appear to you.

Know Your Numbers

Have you ever noticed how you seem to look at the clock at exactly the same time every day, for example, 23:23? Or how the same numbers keep coming up over and over again as you go about your daily life? Angels are thought to use repeating sequences such as 111, 222, 333 etc as a way of catching your eye. Put your trust in the angels that this is not purely by chance - they could be trying to convey an important message. Well then all of a sudden a family friend that died 11 years ago has popped up in my head many times, then I kept finding feathers and Pennies, but the most recent one that happened about 10 minutes ago, a dog came up to me and followed me and one of my friends for an hour before 3 of my friends had to leave so they got in a truck and the dog was running around it so me and my other friend went to the front and back of the truck as the other 3 looked out the sides and the dog went under the car and disappeared, it was just gone and we all saw it go under the truck and never come out.
