So, I went on a little adventure to round up the top cocktail bars in Singapore that will definitely satisfy your alcoholic soul and ensure you have a great evening.

Pricey? Maybe a tad bit more expensive than your usual happy hour pours, but these are enticing cocktails that are made with love and liquor that’s out to impress. And by that I mean strictly no overly-coloured cocktails where you practically can’t taste the liquor and are convinced that you’re just drinking artificially flavoured syrup.

1. ATLAS

ATLAS Bar in Parkview Square is massive. The stunning 1920s European-inspired space, with an almost 15-metre-high ceiling decorated with intricate gold accents, is home to one of the world’s largest gin collections — more than 1,300 bottles — which diners can spot in the majestic gin tower that dominates the space.

There’s no better place to indulge in a fancy high tea than here. Each set comes with elegant sweet and savoury goodies served on a rose gold tier stand, complemented with a selection of tea. The ATLAS Afternoon Tea costs S$68++ per pax, and is available Mon to Sat at 3pm, 3.30pm and 4pm.

As for alcohol, ATLAS’s gins (S$20++) and champagne (S$150++) are its pride and joy – select some from the incredibly vast collection based on your liking. The Store is touted as “your friendly neighbourhood hangout” which, considering its unassuming exterior, you may have unknowingly walked right past several times. It’s tailored to give a Baader-Meinhof experience; enter the teal door and be greeted with a lounge that’s furnished almost like a living room, coupled with little tables and cushioned chairs. Step into the main dining area where high tables and stools surround the bar.

Its name is the short form for “Modern Girls”, referring to Japanese women in the 1920s who challenged gender stereotypes of the period by taking up Western lifestyles and fashion.

Featured in Asia’s 50 Best Bars list at Number 77 and selected as one of Tatler’s Best 100 bars in Asia in 2024, Cat Bite Club has made a pretty big name for itself so far. This small and cosy speakeasy bar in Duxton specialises in agave and rice spirits. The impossibly vast agave collection of more than 200 bottles is possibly Singapore’s largest, and proof of their dedication to the craft.

Its signature cocktail, the Cat Bite Margarita (S$27), is a crowd favourite that features agave nectar, tequila, sherry and citrus. The Soju Sprint (S$25), another bestseller, is a bubbly alcoholic rice beverage with notes of refreshing mint, peach and honey.

Cat Bite Club’s playful concept is highly inspired by the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, which would explain experimental drinks like Rice Rice Daisy (S$24) that contains miso. Another particularly eccentric one is named with just emojis:

Oh Anti:Dote, do we even need to further explain how amazing this bar is? Anti:Dote continuously inspires and concocts cocktails that are so detailed in flavour.

The interior of Anti:dote is modern, chic and comfortable. The different seating areas will appeal different moods and personalities — you can sink into a plush velvet sofa after a hard day at work, or prop up a high table if you’re feeling energetic and talkative.

Definitely not your run-of-the-mill hotel bar, Anti:Dote serves up old classics and reinventions that will definitely blow you away. I still am not sure why I am elaborating on Anti:Dote when it’s clearly evident that this bar is phenomenal and will continue to excite your palates. So head on down, spend some money and get transported to another world.
