Most of my life I’ve had a fireplace or mantel to hang my stockings for Christmas. But what if you don’t have a fireplace or a mantel? Can you still hang your stockings with care if they aren’t near a chimney!?

Of course you can!!!

I have rounded up some beautiful and creative places to hang stockings if you don’t have a fireplace.

First I’ll share what I did with my stockings and then show you the other favorite options I found around the internet.

Hang Stockings on a Dresser

People use dressers for multiple purposes throughout their homes. We have used one as a tv stand, mantel and entry table. Dressers also work great for hanging stockings when you don’t have a fireplace.

Don’t have enough knobs on your dresser for stockings? Just attach Command hooks onto the dresser to add additional places to hang the stockings. Command hooks come off easily without damaging your furniture. The garland covers the Command hooks perfectly!

TIP: If your stockings look limp when you hang them, add a piece of folded card stock inside to keep them propped until Santa comes.

Stockings on the Entertainment Center

You can use the same concept I used with the dresser and put them on any piece of furniture around the house. These stockings are hung on an entertainment center.
