4. Look for Burrowing Owls

Burrowing owls are unique from other owls.

Rather than living in woodlands, backyard trees, or a barn, they live in, well, burrows.

Their diminutive size makes them one of the smallest of owls. The full length of an adult burrowing owl with their long legs can be 7-10 inches.
