When J.R.R. Tolkien published The Lord of the Rings in 1954, his publisher worried such “high fantasy” would not sell and insisted it be printed in three volumes to minimize printing costs. Rally’s #LOTR offering contains First Edition, First Impression copies of each of the three volumes of the Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
