[2.9: Ascension] Tier 7 Obsidian Gear Stats! - Percy Meets Archeage

As you may know, the 2.9: Ascension update will launch on Tuesday, May 31! I will be creating little guides from now until then about 2.9. This first one in the series is the Tier 7 Obsidian gear stats and how to make them!

Most versions of weapons have 4 different final paths. Two of them have the same effect or the newly-added combo effect, but they all have different stat distributions. Armor pieces do not have combo effects.

(The pictures have been shrunken so I could fit them all without you needing to scroll as much. It will list the materials needed in the caption!)

WEAPONS:

~AXE~ You need: Brimstone Axe Wisp, 315 One-Hander Metal Mana Wisps, 121 Shadow Orbs, 30 Wrathsmite Armor Shard, 12 Iron Armor Fragments, and 12 Blazing Sunridge Ingots

~BOW~ You need: 1 Brimstone Bow Wisp, 315 Wooden Mana Wisps, 121 Shadow Orbs, 12 Kadum’s Bark, 12 Nightmare Essence, and 12 Blazing Nuri Forest Lumber

~CLUB~ You need: 1 Brimstone Club Wisp, 315 One-Hander Metal Mana Wisps, 121 Shadow Orbs, 30 Wrathsmite Armor Shard, 12 Iron Armor Fragments, and 12 Blazing Sunridge Ingots

~DAGGER~ You need: 1 Brimstone Dagger Wisp, 315 One-Hander Metal Mana Wisps, 121 Shadow Orbs, 30 Wrathsmite Armor Shard, 12 Iron Armor Fragments, and 12 Blazing Sunridge Ingots

~GREATAXE~ You need: 1 Brimstone Greataxe Wisp, 315 Two-Hander Metal Mana Wisps, 121 Shadow Orbs, 30 Wrathsmite Armor Shard, 12 Iron Armor Fragments, and 12 Blazing Sunridge Ingots

~SHIELD~ You need: 1 Brimstone Shield Wisp, 315 Wooden Mana Wisps, 121 Forbidden Spellgems, 12 Kadum’s Bark, 12 Nightmare Essence, and 12 Blazing Nuri Forest Lumber

armor:

IMPORTANT! To save space, all headpieces, gloves, and shoes need 790 of their corresponding wisps and 7 of their “Blazing” material, chestpieces 1260 and 9 of their “Blazing” material, and pants/legs 945 and 8 of their “Blazing” material. They also need their corresponding wisps to be made, that are called “Brimstone (Armor Piece) Wisp”.

~CLOTH HOOD~ You need: 74 Tainted Jewels, 8 Kadum’s Bark, and 8 Nightmare Essence

~CLOTH SHIRT~ You need: 74 Tainted Jewels, 8 Kadum’s Bark, and 8 Nightmare Essence

Obtaining These Materials:

Brimstone Wisps:

These wisps are made by making a “Brimstone Orb”, a craft-able, trade-able item. A Brimstone Orb will require Lord’s Coins x 6, Sturdy Ingot x 5, and Prismatic Pearl x 10. This is made in the Handicrafts profession (minimum 50k), using up to 100 Labor Points, and a Tier 6 weapon can be salvaged to become a Brimstone Wisp, using up to 1000 Labor Points or less (depending on Alchemy proficiency). These can ONLY be made at Territory Workbenches in Auroria.

“Blazing” Materials

These materials are used primarily in making tier 7 Obsidian gear, and some special goods for the Sovereign of the nation. They require 10 their previous tier (for example, 1 Blazing Nuri Forest Lumber needs 10 Nuri Forest Lumber), 9 Anya Ingots, 18 Lord’s Coins, and 6 Flaming Logs.

Kadum’s Bark

This special material drops from the new world boss in Mistmerrow named “Kadum”. I am not sure right now how many it drops when defeated, or the drop rate.

Wrathsmite Armor Shard

This drops from the hardest boss in Mistsong Summit, Taris. Defeating her will drop the item.

If there are any errors, please let me know! Some of the information may not be completely accurate as this is on the test server. You can still be prepared for 2.9 though!

   Thank you for sharing do you know if there is anyway of knowing exactly what items uncloaked options are? I’m working on the shield and trying to figure out what are going to be my options at the end.
