3/4 time and dotted half notes
“- Here's the three four Time Signature. The three means there will be three beats in each measure. Four means a Quarter Note gets one beat. A Dotted Half Note gets three counts. Two counts for the half note, plus one count for the dot. You'll count one, two, three for each Dotted Half Note. Clap the following rhythm. Clap once for each note, counting aloud. (rhythmic ticking) One, ready, clap. One, two, three. One, two, three, one, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three, one, two, three. One, two, three, one, two, three. Rockets is the first piece you'll play using the three four time signature. Check the ending with the repeat. You'll play the piece a second time, and when you get to the second line, you'll play that line one octave higher than the first line. So you'll move your left hand up to middle C and your right hand up to the C above that. One, two, three.
