Belgium-based Chloé Sarasola fills her Nasoha boutique with the fruits of her passion for crystals, turning them into geodes, décor accessories, or good-vibes gift ideas. From her trips all over the world, this self-professed gemology and kinesiology nut brings back a cornucopia of crystals – jasper, agate, rock crystal, tourmaline – explaining each of their powers through pretty, thoughtful cards. We asked her for her crystal healing advice, including how to make good use of the full moon, and how to harness the best qualities of her favorite gems.

What is the best way to use crystals during the full moon?

Remember that the moon reflects the light of the sun. The full moon confers its sacred feminine energy to anything that receives its soft light. Every full moon, I lay my crystals on the window sill, bathing them in the moon’s photons. This recharges them, and they energy rubs off on us. These crystals encourage us to tap into our inner strength, by surrendering to our fragility.

What crystals would you recommend to crystal healing rookies?

I am particularly fond of rock crystal, as it contains vibrational frequencies. Just like a prism, it decomposes spectral light to reflect the seven colors of the seven chakras back onto us. It can easily be programmed. Don’t forget to wash it before laying down a new intention.

Which crystals do you always keep close by, and why?

I am particularly fond of black tourmaline because it protects from electromagnetic waves. Nowadays, our energetic body is constantly bombarded with all kinds of radiations. This gem sends these nefarious waves back underground, allowing us to remain connected, aligned and centered in all circumstances.

I also keep a small carnelian on the rim of my bathtub. Three times a week, I soak it in my bath water, asking it to cleanse me of all the energies that are cluttering me, as I tend to be permeable to what surrounds me. It’s really good at giving you a good clean, making you feel light again.

From time to time, I will use a tiger’s eye when I need a bit of extra protection.
