Windows 11 AD domain Join Prerequisites

If you are planning to add or join a Windows 11 computer to AD domain, here are the basic requirements.

1. DNS Settings for domain: There must be communication with a DNS server that can locate at least one Domain Controller (DC).
2. Communication with Domain Controller: Your Win11 PC must be able to communicate with Active Directory domain controller. To confirm this, either ping the DC with its FQDN or IP address.
3. Local Account Sign-in: For joining Windows 11 computer to AD domain, you need to log in to the computer with local administrator account.
