This wikiHow guide will teach you how to remove the censor grid that covers your Sims when they're naked. By default, your Sims' naked body parts are blurred out with a mosaic pattern that covers their breasts and genitals. If you want to uncensor these parts in the Sims 4, Sims 3, or Sims 2, you'll need to install a mod. In the original game, there's a cheat code you can use.

Uncensor the Sims 4: Quick Steps

  1. Download the WickedWhims mod from wickedwhimsmod.com/download.
  2. Open the ZIP file.
  3. Open File Explorer or Finder to the Sims 4 "mods" folder.
  4. Move the "WickedWhimsMod" folder from the ZIP into the Sims 4 mods folder.
  5. Enable custom content and script mods in ••• > Game Options > Other.
  6. Restart the game.

The WickedWhims mod will unblur the censored parts of your Sims' bodies, as well as add other adult-friendly/nudity-friendly features to the game.[1] To download the mod, go to wickedwhimsmod.com/download, click one of the links under "Download from…", and follow the instructions to download the ZIP file.
    • You'll also need to enter your age to prove you are 18 or older.[2]
    • If you have the WonderfulWhims mod installed, you will need to remove it, as it conflicts with WickedWhims.[3]
    • If the Sims 4 is currently running, close it before you continue with this method.
  2. Step 2 Open the ZIP file. 2 Open the ZIP file. This displays the contents of the file, including the WickedWhimsMod folder and some other files.[4]
    • If you're using a Mac, double-click the file to unzip it. Then, double-click the extracted folder to open it.

    • On a Mac, open Finder and navigate to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.

  1. Step 1 Make sure your... 1 Make sure your mod framework is set up. If you don't have a "Resource.cfg" file in your Mods folder, no mods will work. You can find the framework for mod installation at Mod The Sims, here. Simply unzip the FrameworkSetup file and place the newly-generated Mods folder (as well as its contents) into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.
  2. Step 2 Navigate to hnraas.net/community/Decensor... 2 Navigate to hnraas.net/community/Decensor in a web browser. You can use any web browser on PC or Mac.
    • Mods do not work on game console versions of The Sims 3.

    • If you receive a "Network Error" message when you click on "Version 14", click on the green button that says Download for patch 1.67/69/70 instead.

    • Use the following steps to extract the contents of the zip file:
      • On Windows, right-click the .zip file and select Extract All.

    • If Sim File Share is down, download it.
    • The file can be used if you have Pets or newer expansions.
    • If you’re just getting started with The Sims 2, check out how to create a Sim. You can also install custom Sims in the Sims 2.
