Before you can start using your Android phone and all of its functionalities, you will need to power on your device. If you think your Power button is broken or that your battery has gone bad, your best option might be to have it repaired. However, there are a couple of troubleshooting methods you can try to get it powered back on.

Turning on a Phone (Android)

Find the single button along the phone's top or rightmost edge. Press and hold down that button until the phone turns on. If your phone won't turn on, press and hold Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time and plug your phone into a computer.

Steps

  2. Step 2 Release the "Power" button when you see the startup logo. 2 Release the "Power" button when you see the startup logo. You can let go of the button when you see the phone's splash screen (it's usually the phone's manufacturer).
