ok so my baby girl is a week shy of 4 months old.. recently (as in two days now) she has started this cough every now and then.. but it sounds... fake... it's not one of her real coughs but she is coughing.. she has no fever, good wet/dirty diapers, healthy appitite... she doesn't seemed upset by the cough. My husband thinks she chokes on her saliva, she chews her hands and drools everywhere!!... Any other moms go through this? Yup my little guy fake coughs all the time. I've read that babies pick up on social cues, and when they cough they get more attention. Could be a combination of that and the spit thing, bc my LO is a drool machine these days LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriatemmusicwoman88

My 3 month old has been doing this for weeks! I keep telling my husband that she's fake coughing for attention bc she only does it when we put her in the swing or seat or somewhere. He thinks it's also from all of the saliva she's producing too.
