This tutorial will show you four ways to draw different types of guitars, among them a classic guitar and a modern guitar. Let's begin!

Method 1 Method 1 of 4:An Electric Guitar (V-Type)

1 Sketch the V-shape body of the electric guitar. -
2 Sketch the shapes for neck and head area. Advertisement -
3 Sketch the additional details and parts of the guitar. -
4 Sketch the decals and decorations if needed. -
5 Refine the artwork using a smaller tipped drawing tool. -
6 Draw the outline over the sketch. -
7 Remove the sketch marks and add color. Advertisement
A Person Playing the Guitar

1 Sketch the wireframe of a person playing a guitar. -
2 Sketch the basic shapes of the body and the guitar. -
3 Sketch additional details for the face, clothes and the guitar. -
4 Refine the Sketch using a smaller tipped drawing tool. -
5 Draw the outlines over the sketch. -
6 Erase and remove the sketch marks. -

1 Sketch a pear like shape in the middle of the page. This will be the body of the guitar. -
2 Draw a long slim oval on top of the body. -
3 At the upper end of the long oval draw a small oval, and a small circle at the lower end. -
4 Outline the shape of the guitar. Add in details like the strings. -
5 Carefully erase the sketch lines and make the contour stronger. -
6 Add in the color! Follow the illustration for reference or color as you please. Advertisement
Modern Guitar

1 Sketch a pear like shape in the middle of the page. This will be the body of the guitar. -
2 On top of the body draw a long slim oval. -
3 At the upper end of the long oval draw another pear like shape, but smaller. -
4 Outline the shape of the guitar. Add in details like the strings and buttons. -
5 Carefully erase the sketch lines and make the contour stronger. -
