Spotify lets you hide songs on playlists you didn’t make, like Discover Weekly, so that they won’t play next time you listen to that playlist. This option is currently only available for Premium users, and is much more limited on desktop versus the mobile apps. We’ll show you how to unhide and hide songs on mobile and desktop, as well as how to block artists and show unplayable songs, so that you can customize your listening experience.
Quick Guide to Unhide a Spotify Song on Mobile
Open the Spotify mobile app.
Find the song you want to unhide on the playlist where it’s hidden.
Hit the red minus sign to unhide the song.
Alternatively, hit the 3 dots next to the song and hit "unhide."

Unhiding Songs on Mobile

1 Find the song you want to unhide in a playlist or album page. If you hid a song from a playlist, open that playlist. If you have Spotify Premium and hid an artist's song from a particular album, open the list of songs on the album.[1]XResearch source
Hiding a song only disables it on the playlist or album where you chose to hide it. It may still be playable on other playlists.
When a song is hidden, its name is grayed out on the song list. You'll also see a red minus sign to the right of its name.
2 Tap the 3 dots to the right of the song name. A menu will expand, showing additional options.
On playlists like Release Radar or Discover Weekly, you can also tap the minus sign next to the song name to instantly unhide the song.

3 Tap Hidden. This unhides the song from the playlist or album. Now, the song will play along with the rest of the playlist.
To delete the song, select Remove from this playlist in the three-dot menu.

1 Find the song that you want to hide in a playlist or album. Open the Spotify mobile app, then navigate to the song you want to hide on the playlist where you want to hide it. To do this, you must be a Premium subscriber.[2]XResearch source Select Your Library, then browse your playlists, or search for the song, playlist, radio station, or album using the search function.
Hiding a song only disables it on the playlist or album where you chose to hide it. It may still be playable on other playlists.
You can't hide a song from the Search screen or the list of "Popular" songs at the top of an artist's page.
2 Select the 3 dots next to the song in the playlist. This opens a menu with a number of options.
3 Select Hide this song. This symbol has a minus sign next to it. Tap it to disable the song in the playlist, album, or radio station. The song will no longer play when you’re listening to that particular playlist.
When a song is hidden, its name is grayed out on the song list. You'll also see a red minus sign to the right of its name.
This option only appears on playlists you haven’t created, like Discover Weekly, albums, or radio stations. On playlists you have created, you’ll only have the option to remove the song, instead.

1 Find the song on a Made for You playlist or radio station in Spotify. Open spotify on your desktop and navigate to the playlist where you’ve hidden the song. A quick way to find these playlists is to click Playlists in the left panel, then select By Spotify in the right panel.[3]XResearch source
On desktop, you may only hide songs in the Discover Weekly or Release Radar playlists.
If you've hidden or disliked a song using the Spotify mobile app, you'll need to use the mobile app to unhide it—it's not possible to unhide it on a computer unless the song appears on the Discover Weekly or Release Radar playlists.
2 Select the minus button while hovering over the hidden song. Scroll through the list until you see a grayed-out song with a minus sign inside of a circle next to the target song. Select the minus button, the song will no longer be grayed out, and will play along with the rest of the playlist.

1 Open Discover Weekly or Release Radar. On desktop, Premium users can only hide songs from these 2 playlists. A quick way to find these playlists is to click Playlists in the left panel, then select By Spotify in the right panel.[4]XResearch source
2 Click the icon of a minus sign in a circle next to the song. Hide any song from this playlist by hovering your mouse cursor over the song and then clicking the minus sign in a circle to the right of the song's title.
When a song is hidden from the playlist, its name will still appear on the playlist—it will just be grayed out.
If you play the playlist straight through or on shuffle, Spotify will always skip the hidden song.
Hiding a song only disables it on the playlist or album where you chose to hide it. It may still be playable on other playlists.

Blocking and Unblocking Artists

1 Find the artist you want to block. Open spotify on your desktop and navigate to the page of the artist you wish to block using the search function.
This method works on both the mobile and desktop versions of Spotify.
2 Select the 3 dots next to their name. This icon appears next to the artist’s name on their profile page.
On desktop, you can also right-click their artist name in any playlist.
3 Select Don’t play this artist to block them. This skips over all of their songs across every playlist.
4 Select Allow this artist to play to unblock them. In the same menu, select this option to allow Spotify to play songs by this artist again, after blocking them.

Showing or Hiding Unplayable Songs

1 Open the Settings menu on the mobile app. Some songs are unavailable to stream, but may display on playlists anyway. To show or hide these, open Spotify on mobile, then select your profile icon, then select Settings and privacy.
2 Toggle Show unplayable songs or Hide unplayable tracks. This option looks different between iOS and Android.
For iOS: Toggle Hide unplayable tracks off to show unplayable tracks, or on to hide unplayable tracks.
For Android: Toggle Show unplayable songs on to show unplayable songs, or off to hide them.
These options aren’t available on desktop.
