wincher W Hi everyone, Recently DSC/Brake(Red)/ABS warnings got illuminated in the instrument cluster of my BMW X3 2004 3.0i. BMW technician has read the error code 5F3A, which suggested transfer case internal problem. I took the car to other garage where TC actuator and output shafts seals were replaced as well as was the TC fluid. I was told that they are unable to clear the fault memory without professional software. As a result, warning lights keep going on. I would like to ask if it may mean that the problem hasn't been fixed or lights will illuminate until DSC module memory is cleared? Thanks, Tad #1 · Jun 27, 2018 Hi everyone, Recently DSC/Brake(Red)/ABS warnings got illuminated in the instrument cluster of my BMW X3 2004 3.0i. Thank you swampX3 I will take my car to dealership to clear the error codes. Based on what you said I conclude that warning lights don't go off automatically when the cause of failure is fixed. Am I right? 0 Reply #4 · Jun 28, 2018 seldom do >if the fault is big enough the warnings will not go off after or during a drive cycle >seldom see them go off with the triad / transfer case issues Insert Quotes Post Reply
