Norway

Situated in the Arctic Circle, Norway is known as the Land of the Midnight Sun. For about 76 days from May to late July, Norway becomes a country without night. The sun remains up for around 20 hours each day. In Svalbard, the northernmost inhabited region of Europe, the sun doesn’t set from April 10 to August 23. Here, you can live for days without darkness, and don’t miss out on the chance to witness the northern lights.

Iceland

A beautiful country, Iceland is Europe's largest island after Great Britain. Iceland gets sunlight from May 10 through July, where the sun is above the horizon all the time. Besides the breathtaking northern lights, the country offers various delightful activities like hiking, wildlife watching, whale watching, caving, cycling and visiting the national parks.

Canada

As the world’s second-largest country, Canada has regions like Inuvik and the Northwest Territories, where the sun shines for about 50 days during the summer. This makes Canada another country without night for a period of time. While you’re here, enjoy activities like Aurora viewing, mountaineering, suspension bridge walks, and exploring historical monuments.

Alaska

This makes Alaska a unique country without night during the summer months. Imagine witnessing snow-covered peaks glistening at 2 am in the morning. Sweden

Usually warmer as compared to the other countries mentioned above, the sun in Sweden sets around midnight and is up again at 4:30 am, from early May to late August. 

You can spend these long days by keep yourself busy with adventurous activities. Or how about fishing, playing golf, skiing, watching the northern lights, visiting the national parks, exploring the lowland trails?

Helsinki Cathedral and port, FinlandFinland, known as the land of a thousand lakes and islands, also enjoys long daylight hours during the summer months. In many parts of the country, the sun doesn’t set for 73 days, making Finland a stunning country without night during this period. Apart from the spectacular northern lights, Finland offers unique experiences like staying in glass igloos and skiing amidst beautiful landscapes.  

Antarctica

In certain parts of Antarctica, like the Antarctic Circle, the sun stays up for an extended period of time during the austral summer. Antarctica enjoys continuous daylight from September to March. It makes Antarctica one of the prime destinations for scientists and adventurers to experience its uninterrupted Sun cycle and unique weather conditions. 

Greenland

Greenland is also one of the places where the Sun never sets. Greenland is located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. Northern Greenland enjoys midnight sun from late May to July every year. You can visit Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where people can witness breathtaking ice formations illuminated by the never-setting sun.

Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands, situated in the North Atlantic between Iceland and Norway, have unusually long days during summer, i.e. from early June to mid-July. This means there's only a short time of twilight at night. 

The continuous daylight transforms the stunning landscape of Faroe Islands into scenic visions. Its rugged hills and cliffs, lush green valleys, and dramatic shorelines are a must-experience during the Midnight Sun.
