A Los Angeles judge ordered a $70 million settlement for the families of four members of the late Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera's entourage who were all killed in a plane crash in 2012.

Starwood Management LLC, the company that owned the Learjet 25 that crashed after taking off from Monterrey, Mexico, has been ordered to compensate the families of Jenni Rivera's four employees. Judge Holly Kendig ordered a default judgment in favor of the victims' families after Starwood Management abandoned the case.

The amount will be distributed among the relatives of her lawyer Mario Macias Pacheco, the singer's makeup artist Jacobo Yebale, publicist Arturo Rivera and stylist Jorge Armando Sanchez Vasquez.

Their attorney, Paul R. Kiesel, says the next step will be getting Starwood to pay the judgment.

Millions of fans mourned Rivera and her entourage's death. At the time of the crash, Rivera was heading home to the region of Toluca, where she was scheduled to sing.

The popular singer of norteñas and bandas was one of the top Latina performers, according to Billboard magazine, at the time of her death.

Rivera was 43 when she died and left behind five children and two grandchildren.
