There are plenty of dog breeds mistaken for pit bulls on a daily basis. It may be the shape of the head, the appearance of the face, the contours of the body, or the temperament of the dog. Whatever the case may be, these dogs are often seen as one of the “vicious” dog breeds because of their appearance. I personally believe that not all American Pit Bull Terriers are what people make them out to be. They can be kind, sweet, and well trained like any other breed.

  I found this article offensive as a pit bull owner. Kinda ignorant if you ask me. Ive got 4 pit bullls and yeah... Its not only that they CAN but they ARE very loving! Yes!!! 4 out of 4!!! Pls get your "stuff" straight before writing an article hundreds or millions of people are gonna read! Pit bulls are being killed coz of ignorance! And this kinda bad "ish" press only ads to it...

  #6 I don't want appear snotty but 6dont see how anyone could possibly make the mistake of even speculating that a si gld one of these breeds is a pitbull. I suppose when they are fat faced little puppies it's entirely possible but not when they have reached 8 to 12 months of age. Even the more well known mixes occur though one parent's genes are usually dominant the pups will always retain some dominant genes or trait , however vestigial, from the less dominant parent. Right? I don't know a whole lot about a little but I appreciate the breed in all of its glory and give every dog the the opportunity to chat with me about themselves 😜. Mainly though, it just takes common sense to know the difference. Each mix is distinctly unique.

  You said pitbulls CAN BE very loving and sweet...that's wrong, they ARE very loving and sweet, it's when people train them to be mean. And stafford shire terriers are pitbulls. A pitbull is actually a group of 3 or 4 different kinds of dogs
