This is the second part of the Problem Solved Series 911 how to prevent camel toeing in high waisted pants.

So let’s just clarify what exactly is it, this made me chuckle. Here’s the Wikipedia explanation.

Camel toe is a slang term that refers to the outline of a woman’s labia majora in tightly fitting clothes. Owing to a combination of anatomical factors and the tightness of the fabric covering the area, the crotch and mons pubis may display a shape resembling the forefoot of a camel. 

The way to solve any problem is to get right into the cause ( no pun intended)!

With a combination of fabric technology being like a second skin, women’s sportswear, swimwear, and jeans can create this problem at times. Let’s focus on jeans:

WHAT CAUSES CAMEL TOE?

Too much of a high waist or rise can be one of the culprits in creating the dreaded camel toe, especially if your body shape doesn’t need such a high rise. To know how high you can wear your jeans click here. 

Jeans with stretch help us move and if it’s a good style hold us in, however, it’s easy to go down a size because of this stretch, and voila the camel toe appears! Now, this can happen to everyone, all shapes, and sizes. It’s just like trying on a pair of shoes, you normally take this size but this style rubs your big toe.

As a Denim stylist /personal shopper, my eye is firmly on crotch patrol when my clients try on jeans.

HOW TO GET RID OF CROTCH CLEAVAGE IN JEANS

• Make sure you’re wearing the correct height rise for your body shape.
• Wear underwear with a toweling crotch lining ( such as Janira underwear), as this can work as a barrier so the fabric doesn’t rise up.
• Take a panty liner and fold it around the front of your underwear to create a barrier in-between your body and jeans.

3. Cameltoe is definitely a cultural thing. Latin American women seem to intentionally flaunt it like they mean it. TikTokers hike up their jeans and position their cameras real low to capture all their goods before busting a move.

   • Is a guy named Jim really telling people with actual vaginas that camel toe is never unintentional… really… womans fashion it’s typical for cuts to vary wildly. But for your typical Jim, dudes wear like 3 different cuts. One cut for jeans, one for Shorts, and one for dress pants. And might I add they make sure all the dude crotches are super baggy so you don’t get to show the world what you got…or don’t… unless you wear skinny jeans as a dude and that just sounds wildly uncomfortable. Wait why is a guy reading about camel toe solutions on the internet?

     • Gee, well, um, it’s of great interest to me. Imagine that. Every one I noticed, the lady was showing off her figure, and that camel toe was part of it. Never dreamed it could be accidental. No more than showing lots of cleavage.

       Men’s extra tight clothes uncomfortable? No more than the tight jeans ladies wear, once everything is tucked in, it is what it is.
