I know it's hell a lot of work, but would the team consider getting rid of Unity ? Considering the game has made some significant profit and there are a lot more players on laptops today, I don't think it's a bad investment ( in labour and time ). < > Showing 1-15 of 54 comments .... This would also pretty much stop real development for a while - i doubt people would want that.I also doubt that there is a suitable engine to buy - i cant think of other games that have this kind of building and terrain changes that arent made with unity. There are already minimum specs. To be honest even if you got the game running on lower specs - once you start building your FPS will drop again so what would even be the point?I know right now is a bad time to buy new hardware but the used market for lower to mid end systems shouldnt be that bad. ^And this is why I dont believe the low to mid market is even safe from becoming expensive anymore.Cryptominers. #6 Wespe View Profile View Posts 15 May, 2021 @ 3:27pm its rough not being the only gamer in the house, i have to run a fleet of low end gaming pc's #7 Protus View Profile View Posts 15 May, 2021 @ 3:28pm SO how much profit did they make?I always see this argument put up as part of someones reasoning...They made profit and therefore...Anyhow since that's part of the argument how much did they make actually?Steam, publishers, etc...and if they did make money what in the hell does that have do with anything? Seriously a brand new game early release and I see many posts act like it's been out for over a year since release and some how because it costs money one time to buy it and play it they are owed more like it's some kind of MMO monthly sub game. anyways Devs keep up the good work and don't get sidetracked because of steam forum noise. Why does everyone have to play at the same time? And what about game-streaming services? But to be honest - i will never understand this anyway. If your PC is so old that you can only play games by using even lower settings than normally possible in the game - which will make games look awful. Wouldnt it be better to just play older games with less requirements - i am pretty sure older games look better than new games on ultra low settings. Simple: millions of sales * 20$ - Steam cut (can be up to 30%) - taxes = it's an 8 digit numberDoesn't mean another engine would be a good move, to be precise: that sound like crazy crappy idea. #12 Protus View Profile View Posts 15 May, 2021 @ 3:40pm

Ok so you think they made millions...we don't have the tax forms or any knowledge of how many middle men got their grubby fingers in there.I for one hope that they made enough money to never have to work again. #13 GunsForBucks View Profile View Posts 15 May, 2021 @ 3:42pm If you need a good low spec game try this onehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/1250/Killing_Floor/ #14 Manwith Noname View Profile View Posts 15 May, 2021 @ 3:43pm

It's not that simple, the game isn't $20 in all regions. Between a third and half of the regions it's less than $10.We can say they did alright though. No doubt about that. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 54 comments Per page: 1530 50 Valheim > Suggestions & Ideas > Topic Details Date Posted: 15 May, 2021 @ 3:12pmPosts: 54 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
