A Deleted Character or Island Still Appears in NookLink (Animal Crossing: New Horizons) Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch - OLED Model
Follow these steps if you have deleted a character or island from Animal Crossing: New Horizons and it is still showing up in NookLink on the Nintendo Switch App.
Before you start
You will need:
Your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console
A smart device
An Internet connection
Complete these steps
Once you have created a new character or island that you want to associate with NookLink, activate NookLink from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons title screen.
Launch the game from the console's HOME Menu.
On the title screen, press the (-) Button to access Settings.
Select NookLink settings.
Select Yes, please.
Launch the Nintendo Switch App on your smart device.
Be sure you link the app to the same Nintendo Account that you use with Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Select Animal Crossing: New Horizons to access NookLink.
If the previous character is still displaying:
Select Settings.
Select Change players to manually select your current character.
