Hello! I keep getting a little confused over this as I'm reading the manga for the first time. When Kenny is dying, Levi says something like "I understand (or "I was told", I can't remember exactly) that my last name is Ackerman. is that true?". I understand that Levi didn't know that Kenny's last name was Ackerman, but did or did not Levi knew his own last name? or when did he find out? Sorry if this has been asked before but I keep getting confused. Thanks in advance!!

No problem. I will try to be consistent. Well, firstly, I think Levi’s mom Kuchel never told her maiden name for his sake. So “just Levi” was the only thing he knew about himself
