A Summer to Remember Movie Plot

A Summer to Remember movie follows Jessica, an ER doctor, and her distant daughter Ava. Jessica has immersed into her work since her husband’s death and this has slowly increased the distance between her daughter and her. Now, on a vacation to Fiji, Jessica hopes to reconnect with her daughter and also find Maravu (inner peace), that she had once experienced with her late husband.

At the resort, Jessica has couple of unwanted experiences when construction work thwarts all her attempts to find peace. She gets off on the wrong foot with the worker, who also turns out to be the resort owner. The little spark they experience is extinguished when Jessica meets Trevor a doctor and a workaholic like her.

An unexpected news of Jessica’s promotion upsets Ava who thinks it will only make Jessica more busy. As Jessica finds more things in common with Trevor, time with Will has a magical and calming effect on her.

With their trip cut short, and Jessica’s undeniable pull towards Will and the Fijian resort, Jessica has a big decision to make. Should she go back to her hectic life or can this place give her and Ava the happiness and quality life that she always wanted.

A Summer to remember once again captured the spirit of the season with beautiful locations in Fiji. With multiple suitors for Jessica, the on-screen chemistry got all the more interesting.

The mother-daughter bonding scenes as well as Jessica’s dilemma was heartwarming and very real. The important decision hanging in the air toward the end builds well and heightens the anticipation for this love story.
