Aaron Boone Baseball Stats | Baseball Almanac
Aaron Boone was born on Friday, March 9, 1973, in La Mesa, California. Boone was 24 years old when he broke into the major leagues on June 20, 1997, with the Cincinnati Reds. Aaron Boone stats, height, weight, career totals, schools, positions, and more historical research are in the Baseball Almanac.
Its always tough to hit a knuckleball. So when I saw (Tim) Wakefield (during the 2003 American League Championship Series) I was thinking about taking some pitches. Then I stepped out of the box, took a deep breathe and said to myself, 'You know what? Youve been thinking too much kid. Just go and take a swing.' Thats what I did on the first pitch I saw. Maybe I should do that before every pitch I see from now on. - Aaron Boone

Aaron John Boone was a Major League Baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds (1997-2003), New York Yankees (2003), Cleveland Indians (2005-2006), Florida Marlins (2007), Washington Nationals (2008), and Houston Astros (2009). On September 27, 1998, the last day of the regular season, the Reds started an infield composed of two sets of brothers: first baseman Stephen Larkin and shortstop Barry Larkin, along with second baseman Bret Boone and third baseman Aaron Boone — the first all-brothers infield in baseball history!
There have been over 350 sets of brothers who have played Major League Baseball, but only six tandems in which each brother hit at least 100 home runs:
