Brian MacDonald

President and Chief Executive Officer

Brian MacDonald returned to CDK as president and chief executive officer in July 2022. He was previously president and CEO of CDK between 2016 and late 2018, overseeing a successful transformation effort which created a solid foundation for future growth. During that time, Brian successfully increased margins, met or exceeded earnings consensus every quarter, significantly improved customer service levels, oversaw new product designs and increased employee engagement.

He is a committed and engaged leader who uses a commonsense approach to decision making, problem solving, strategic thinking, and execution that results in successful outcomes.

Prior to CDK, he served as president and CEO for a diverse set of companies including Hertz and Sunoco. He also held executive management roles at Dell, General Motors and Isuzu Motors.

Alex Choy

Chief Technology Officer

Alex Choy is the chief technology officer at CDK.

Prior to joining CDK in January 2023, Alex served as senior vice president of Technology Products at Workday where he was responsible for Workday application platform products and technologies, overseeing product management and engineering teams, distributed in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Alex also previously served in leadership roles at Change Healthcare, Oracle Corporation and Adobe Systems, and held senior product and engineering positions, including founding team level, at Interwoven, Veritas Software, Tandem, Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard.

Amy Smith

Chief Human Resources Officer

Amy Smith is the chief human resources officer at CDK. She is responsible for providing strategic and functional human resources leadership across the organization. Amy has more than twenty years of HR experience working in multiple industries and diverse organizations.

Amy joined CDK in 2018 as vice president of Human Resources for the Sales and Operations organization. Prior to CDK, she served as the chief people officer at PEAK6 where she was instrumental in leading organizational change and aligning HR priorities with strategic business goals.

Amy began her career in HR at GE where she spent more than a decade in HR roles across various industries.

Barb Edson

Chief Marketing Officer

Barb Edson is chief marketing officer at CDK. She is responsible for delivering successful marketing and commercial strategies that help strengthen connections across the automotive retail ecosystem through technology for CDK, its dealer and manufacturer customers, and the consumers they serve.

She has more than three decades of business strategy and marketing experience with leading companies in the software and technology industry, including Microsoft, Oracle and Great Plains Software. In her 12-year tenure at Microsoft, she held several senior leadership roles, as a partner general manager leading the commercial and marketing strategy for the Business Applications, Data Platform and IoT Cloud Services.

Barb also served in dual roles at Optum, which is part of UnitedHealth Group, as chief marketing officer for the OptumInsight business and head of Cross Optum Segment Marketing and Strategic Market Intelligence.

Cameron "Cam" WilliamsClose

Cameron "Cam" Williams

General Counsel

Cameron “Cam” Williams is general counsel at CDK. He was also previously with CDK for seven years as vice president, Counsel.

Prior to returning to CDK in September 2022, Cam was vice president, deputy general counsel at Penn Entertainment where he oversaw a range of legal issues, including securities regulation, corporate governance, labor and employment, and mergers and acquisitions.

During his 20-year career, Cam has earned a reputation as an excellent and efficient legal partner who prioritizes achieving strategic objectives without taking on excessive legal risk. Before joining CDK, Cam served in the corporate and securities law departments of Proskauer Rose and Shefsky & Froelich and in supply chain management and operations for American Airlines.

Dan FlynnClose

Dan Flynn

Chief Transformation Officer

Dan Flynn returned to CDK in July 2022 as chief transformation officer. He first joined the company in 2016 and led a multi-year transformation program, which improved EBITDA margin by 1,390 bps and helped accelerate CDK’s transition to a more agile and strategic software-focused company. In 2019, Dan pursued an opportunity as vice president and general manager, Global Rental and Used, Caterpillar.

Before joining CDK, Dan was senior vice president of North America operations for Hertz Rent-a-Car, and led a business unit with more than $6.5 billion in revenue, 23,000 employees, and 500,000 vehicles across 3,000+ locations.

Over the span of his 25-year career, Dan has successfully produced accelerated performance at numerous enterprises resulting in improved financial and operational outcomes. From large, publicly traded companies with activist investors to firms with private equity ownership, he has unique experience across a wide spectrum of organizations and ownership models.

Jen ColeClose

Jen Cole

EVP, OEM and Strategic Partnerships

Jen Cole is the EVP of OEM and Strategic Partnerships at CDK Global. In this role she oversees our OEM and independent software vendor (ISV) sales functions, as well as customer success and professional services for our ISV partners.

Prior to rejoining CDK as Vice President of OEM Sales in 2023, Jen spent two years as Senior Vice President and GM for Appen, the global leader for AI data services, leading the Enterprise business go-to-market strategy, sales, delivery and operations. Prior to that, she spent 22 years in a range of senior-level roles in the automotive retail technology space, starting at Cobalt, then ADP, then CDK and Sincro.

Kathy-Anne "KAM" McManusClose

Kathy-Anne "KAM" McManus

Chief Customer Officer

Kathy-Anne “KAM” McManus is the chief customer officer at CDK. In this newly created role, KAM leads the post-sales experience for all customers across professional services, customer success, learning and performance, customer care, and consulting. She is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty—maximizing the value of CDK solutions while continuing to improve NPS and ensuring profitability and efficiency for the business.

Prior to joining CDK in 2022, KAM served as Avid Technology’s first chief customer experience officer as it expanded its customer success strategy to enhance customer touchpoints and provide exceptional experiences. In a career that spans more than three decades, she also held senior leadership roles in the service and support organizations of several technology providers including Adobe, Amdocs and Ericsson and telecommunications operator Telstra.

Having lived and worked on three continents, KAM has extensive global experience implementing business process change, organizational effectiveness, and technical solutions in the ever-evolving world of software sales and delivery.

Sanjay AlmeidaClose

Sanjay Almeida

Chief Product Officer

Sanjay Almeida is the chief product officer at CDK. He brings extensive experience in product strategy, product management, go-to-market, and engineering and has a track record of driving product leadership and business growth.

Prior to joining CDK in January 2023, Sanjay was chief product officer of Intelligent Spend Management at SAP. He also previously served in other leadership roles at SAP, Sage, and Concur (pre-acquisition by SAP).

Scott Herbers

Chief Revenue Officer

Scott Herbers was named chief revenue officer at CDK in August 2020, leading the teams that are responsible for the growth and retention of the 9,000+ CDK customers in the automotive and heavy truck markets. Prior to this role, Scott was the leader of the North America Dealership Sales group.

Scott has extensive experience providing products and solutions to the automotive marketplace; holding increasing positions of responsibility in sales, general management, marketing, operations and OEM.

Before joining CDK, Scott was the vice president Sales and Marketing at EyeVelocity, a visual interactive software company. Scott started his automotive career at Reynolds + Reynolds Company where he spent 13 years in a variety of positions.

Steve LifshatzClose

Steve Lifshatz

Chief Financial Officer

Steve Lifshatz is the chief financial officer at CDK. He has nearly four decades of C-Suite experience at technology software and software-as-a-service companies, and extensive experience in operational effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and investor relations.

Before joining CDK in 2023, he served as CFO of Lytx, the global leader in video telematics, where he helped grow and scale the business at an unprecedented rate. Prior to Lytx, he was engaged as an independent consultant by several private equity firms to assist in the development and expansion of certain of their portfolio companies. He also served as CFO of five additional private and public companies during his career.
