The Magnusson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, was created to protect consumer warranties.

According to this act, a manufacturer such as Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge cannot void the warranty of a vehicle due to the use of an aftermarket part unless they can prove the aftermarket part directly cause or contributed to the failure of the vehicle.
