The Crown Estate

The Crown Estate is a £13bn real estate business, specialising in commercial property in Central London, prime regional retail and offshore wind. Our Central London portfolio includes all of Regent Street and around half of St James’s, making us the largest landowner in the core West End.

We believe that a successful business and a sustainable business are one and the same. Our integrated approach to sustainability has led to the development of a London Ecology Masterplan, which sets out our ambition to create over a hectare of new green space across our London portfolio by 2030, an area one and a third times the size of Wembley Stadium football pitch.

Since 2013, we have created up to 3,000m² of green space across our London estate, through a combination of green roofs, green walls, planters and pocket habitats on both new developments and existing buildings– creating valuable habitats for wildlife and improving the experience for people living, working and visiting central London. We have also undertaken habitat mapping and bird and bat baseline surveys since 2013, and these will be repeated regularly to monitor the project’s success.

The Howard de Walden Estate

The Howard de Walden Estate is the freehold owner of most of the buildings in Marylebone. The Estate is wholly owned by the Howard de Walden family whose ties to Marylebone date back to the early 18th century.

The Estate comprises over 850 properties including residential, office, retail and restaurant units, as well as medical space within the Harley Street Medical Area. Located in a conservation area, our portfolio includes a large variety of Georgian, Victorian and more modern properties, many of which are listed.

The Estate remains firmly rooted in the local community and we are committed to preserving the unique character and rich heritage of the area, while seeking to create 21st century facilities, enhance biodiversity, improve the local environment, and engage with the community to create a greener Marylebone.

The Portman Estate

The heart of The Portman Estate is 110 acres of prime property in Central London. Located between Oxford Street and Edgware Road, and extending north towards the Marylebone Road and east to Marylebone High Street, it sits in the vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Marylebone.

The Estate is a mix of residential, retail and office space that delivers a real sense of community. As a family business we are able to strike a pragmatic balance between short and long term investments across the area. Over recent years, we have worked especially hard to restore many Georgian buildings to today’s high standards, and create contemporary homes and offices that reflect their historical context.

We also work very hard to enhance and bring to life the public realm in and around our Estate. Creating and maintaining a vibrant and welcoming neighbourhood, through a balance of great retailers and tenants, hosting lively community events and nurturing our outdoor spaces to maximise environmental benefits for all, is a key focus for us.

We are committed to encouraging biodiversity across our Estate and surrounding areas and recognise the genuine long term benefits from doing so. We will continue to pursue this as a key part of our wider environmental strategy.

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland

Grosvenor Group is a privately owned property company active in some of the world's most dynamic cities. The business in Britain and Ireland owns and manages a diverse property portfolio including our London estate - 300 acres of Mayfair and Belgravia in the heart of the capital.

We started placemaking over 300 years ago, when the Grosvenor family embarked on the development of Mayfair, and subsequently Belgravia. Today our activities extend beyond London to other major cities in the UK, but our goal remains the same: making great places where people want to live, work and play.

Our London estate includes 25 acres of green space, of which some 18 acres is directly managed by us. This space provides the community with much-needed oases within the vibrant West End. Our land management includes an emphasis on biodiversity, which has improved the ecological status of our green space.

Our array of gardens, squares, plazas and street plantings includes approximately 500 trees and an annual influx of over 6,000 bulbs and 50,000 bedding plants. The Church Commissioners for England: Hyde Park Estate and Connaught Village

The Church Commissioners for England exist to support the work and mission of the Church of England today and for future generations. An £8.3bn investment fund is managed in a responsible and ethical way, using the money from the investments to contribute towards the cost of mission projects, dioceses in low-income areas, bishops, cathedrals, and pensions.

Within the fund the residential and commercial portfolio comprises over 2,000 property interests within the Hyde Park Estate including garden squares and private gardens within residential complexes. The Estate’s rich abundance of green spaces and connective street planting will form a critical new link with Hyde Park supporting the partnership’s aim to create a series of ecologically valuable steppingstones between London’s historic Royal Parks and garden squares. Joining Wild West End will build on the extensive work carried out on the Estate to increase biodiversity and create new green spaces over the last ten years.
