IMPERATIVE SENTENCES
1.Passive Voice: Let + object + be/not be + 3rd form of the verb.
2. When the Object is not given. You are requested to/advised to/ordered to (to suit the sense) is added.
Note: The word ‘Please’ or ‘ kindly ‘ is dropped.

| 1. Shut the door. | Let the door be shut. |
| 2. Post the letter at once. | Let the letter be posted at once. |
| 3. Do not starve the cow. | Let the cow not be starved. |
| 4. Always speak the truth, | Let the truth always be spoken. |
| 5. Please do me a favour. | You are requested do me-a favour. |
| 6. Let him help his brother. | Let his brother be helped by him. |
