  George Russell and Su Yiming came together for a high-energy moment – athletes connected by speed🏂🏎️ If ever there was a star-studded stage, it was this: two extraordinary adidas partners, George Russell and Su Yiming, shared the spotlight. While they represent very different sports, both Formula 1 racing and snowboarding require an intense combination of speed and precision, both of which these athletes have mastered.  To set the tone for the evening’s events attended by over 2000 people in Shanghai, George Russell did donuts in a Mercedes-AMG car. Afterwards, the athletes exchanged their perspectives on Speed and the EVO SL running shoe, revealing how innovation connects athletes across disciplines in ways that transcend sport categories. Speed and the EVO SL were then put to the test by more than 200 elite runners who ran three kilometers at impressive paces. Their speed was visualized by powering lighting and music through the real-time cadence of their heartrate data.  To close the night, artist Leah Dou, a prominent Chinese singer-songwriter and actress, debuted a brand-new track, “Illumination,” inspired by the concept of speed.   Family reunion meets season kick-off – that's how we do Go-To-Market Sign-Off🎊👐 Twice a year, employees from around the world gather at the World of Sports to get first looks at the products for the upcoming season, hear the stories behind them, and zoom into the brand priorities. Last week the focus was kicking off the Spring / Summer 2027 season. The campus was teeming with energy and enthusiasm that were powered by: 👥More than 2,000 employees from all around the world who came together at our global headquarters 👟24,000 product samples displayed in our showrooms 🎤Inspiring guests including Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Laura Nolte, Deborah Levi, Frida Karlsson, Franziska Preuß, Derrick Rose, Tim Wenisch, Laura Horvath, and Willy Chavarria The week’s events got us amped up for what's next: In the coming weeks, we are hosting over 200 customers who will be the first to see our showrooms with the upcoming season’s show-stopping products.

  A new footprint on our Walk of Fame! 👣🏀 This week, employees at World of Sports stepped away from their desks to celebrate one of our brand’s biggest icons. Derrick Rose, one of the most prolific point guards in basketball history, added his footprint to the walkway lined with those of other legendary adidas partners, including Lionel Messi, Billie Jean King, James Harden, Candace Parker, Mikaela Shiffrin, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Steffi Graf, and many more. Derrick influenced a generation of fans and basketball players while helping elevate adidas basketball to new heights. His addition to the adidas Walk of Fame builds on what has already been an incredible start to the year for him. In January, he became just the fifth player in Chicago Bulls history to have his jersey retired, meaning his No. 1 jersey will never be worn by another Bulls player again. A three-time NBA All-Star, two-time World Champion, Rookie of the Year, and the youngest MVP in NBA history, Derrick remains one of the most humble people you could meet. During his time on campus, he handed out roses, signed autographs, and took photos with fans across the campus.   Boxing gloves & sequins, track tops & ties – Perfect pairings of sports and fashion🥊👗 During Fashion Week in Milan, some of our favorite athletes walked the runway. In an event aptly called UNEXPECTED, a range of adidas partners swaggered and sashayed down the catwalk sporting...sportswear - styled in surprising combinations. A highlight of the evening for many was the appearance of Alessandro Del Piero, 2006 World Cup champion, who modeled a contemporary reinterpretation of the historic Italian National Team shirt from the 1970s. Another high point was the performance of the artist Mahmood, who delivered music and dance performances created specifically for the event, dressed in a stunning customized Originals look. Check out some of the 40 outfits showcased in the first-of-its-kind fashion show, a glorious display of what happens when brilliant minds are encouraged to create for the local audiences they know best, while giving the rest of us so much to discover.
