Overview

Advantages are special items that can give you power during Elimination. Advantages can first be found as a hint within foliage around the camp, then can be found using a tool.

Aesthetics

The hint scroll itself can appear in the camp area as a tan scroll with a middle ring part to condense the hint scroll. Once touched, the hint scroll shows a red X in the top left corner of the graphic.

When obtaining advantages, players may show the advantage, but said advantage will only show up as a paper with the named advantage on it. The one exception is the Fake Safety, where the Safety Advantage will appear instead.

Finding Advantages

To find an advantages, you must first find a scroll. These will be scattered across the map, and can range from one scroll to six scrolls (without any spawned advantages). The methods to finding hint scrolls in each map will be different, but they can generally be seen sticking right outside a bush (bushes are in all five maps) or laying by a rock.

The Jungle Map differs in this, with scrolls sometimes hanging up in the trees. It is recommended to practice jumping so these scrolls can be claimed immediately.

In the Desert Map, scrolls can sometimes spawn outside the center oasis area. These are very easy to spot, and will likely come from spawned advantages.

Additionally in the Island and Bamboo maps, you can find them scattered around within all of the foliage, not just the bushes.

After finding a hint scroll, you will be provided a compass and a tool to find the advantage. The compass will point to the direction you need to go towards, and the tool will prompt whether or not you need to use a shovel or a hammer to find the advantage.

Searching For Advantage

Shovel	To find an advantage using a shovel, you need to use the compass until the compass suddenly changes direction. Once you dig, you will receive your advantage.
Hammer	To find an advantage using a hammer, go in the compass direction, but you will need to hit the tree or rock to receive the advantage, which makes it easier to identify where the advantage lies.

The advantage will contain one of the nine available advantages. Note that there can only be one Safety Advantage per camp, but that advantage is guaranteed across every camp. To counter this, normal Safety Advantages cannot be spawned.

Spawning

All advantages (except for the Safety Advantage) can be spawned in by anyone with gems, or by those who hold the Advantage Spawn gamepass (one per game). They cannot be spawned in All-Star Mode. The price of each advantage is listed below:

Trivia

• Out of the six Outlaster maps, only the Jungle Map requires players to jump to obtain a scroll.
• In the Tundra Map, there was a famous bug where hint scrolls would lead to places outside the map. This was fixed in the 2023 Halloween Event.
• The list of advantages has remained unchanged since release.
• In the Bamboo Jungle update, scrolls were edited to be smaller. This makes a minimal difference, as the color of the scrolls still make them relatively easy to spot.
• It is possible for scrolls to spawn right next to each other or inside the bushes at spawn.
