Saintpaulias, or more commonly know as the African Violet, is a member of the Gesneriaceae family and native to Tanzania and other parts of East Africa. A popular houseplant that is widely admired for its beautiful, delicate flowers, the plant is named after its violet-colored flowers, which grow in clusters and can bloom throughout the year.
