dfwill29 D OK, I have a 2018 Civic SI, been in a accident, no airbags have deployed, and all seat belts work and impact sensors are good and I have scanned the system and I get code B0001-13 and B0002-13, which points to inflater 1 and 2 driver airbag, but I checked the airbag and it seems fine at 2.5ohms, but it did damage the steering rack, I since have replaced the eps steering rack, and also have had the srs control unit fixed but my question is with the steering wheel free spinning so to speak could it have damaged the clockspring cable reel before deployment, none of the steering controls work either, any input would be greatly appreciated #1 · May 19, 2020 OK, I have a 2018 Civic SI, been in a accident, no airbags have deployed, and all seat belts work and impact sensors are good and I have scanned the system and I get code B0001-13 and B0002-13, which points to inflater 1 and 2 driver airbag, but I checked the airbag and it seems fine at 2.5ohms, but it did damage the steering rack, I since have replaced the eps steering rack, and also have had the srs control unit fixed but my question is with the steering wheel free spinning so to speak could it have damaged the clockspring cable reel before deployment, none of the steering controls work either, any input would be greatly appreciated Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · May 19, 2020 Your guess at the clockspring seems like a good guess to me. They're not especially expensive nor are they very hard to replace. If you're thinking of shotgunning parts at the issue this is where I'd start. Mike #3 · Jan 6, 2021 (Edited) I had a similar problem with my car. As a result, I had to buy a new rail, as its mechanical part was severely damaged. If you do not know what the problem may be, then I advise you to contact a specialized service that will help you solve this problem. If you want to do everything yourself, then use a high-quality tester, for example from Thinkdiag, then specify the error code that occurs in your car. I am sure that on such forums there are a huge number of topics that tell a detailed solution to your problem. I hope everything goes well for you, good luck! #4 · Jan 19, 2021 i am getting the same codes and all my airbags are good and seatbelts are good also. i am getting both codes B0001-13 and B0002-13. did you figure out what was the problem? #5 · Jan 24, 2022 Hey just checking if you found a solution? I'm having the same issue except all my controls work 0 Reply #6 · Nov 14, 2024 Nobody say anything to fix those issue i have the same problem in my ram 2011 issue the airbag isn't the clock spring and I don't know what's wrong... this is a **** #7 · Apr 22, 2025 Clock spring. Check your horn to see if it is working. If not best bet is the clock spring failed. #8 · Apr 29, 2025 It’s very possible the free-spinning steering wheel damaged the clockspring (cable reel), especially if it rotated beyond its normal range — that can break internal wires. Since your steering wheel controls aren’t working and you're getting inflator circuit codes, a faulty clockspring is a strong suspect. Replacing it might clear both the SRS codes and restore button function. Good luck getting it sorted #9 · May 14, 2025 If those code appear after change rack and pinion is bc the rack and pianos wasn't middle when you conect to column then your clock spring broken, check if Honk if not honk clock spring damaged Insert Quotes Post Reply
