    If AirPlay doesn't work on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, i.e. it won't project your screen on the smart TV, or Apple TV, restarting your smartphone or tablet may fix it.

    Press and hold the power button (and volume (-) key, depending on your device) to turn it off. Then, turn it back on after a couple of minutes.

  3. Check if the AirPlay is enabled on the iOS device

    Screen sharing won't be successful, unless AirPlay is enabled on both the devices. Ensure that AirPlay is enabled and try again. To enable screen sharing, swipe up, or down, to access the Control Center, tap on the AirPlay icon and connect it to your device, which should appear in the list.

  4. Ensure that AirPlay is enabled on your computer

    Screen sharing won't be successful, unless AirPlay is enabled on both the devices (your computer and your TV). Ensure that AirPlay is enabled and try again.

    To enable screen sharing, and later on, share your screen, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to System Preferences and click on Displays;
    2. Tick/Check the check box next to Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available;
    3. Click on the Airplay icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select the desired device to which you wish to share your screen.

  5. Enable streaming on your TV

    It is possible that the screen sharing feature of your TV or AirPlay (if you use an Apple TV) is not enabled. In this case, what you need to do is to activate it.

    Usually, it can be found on the Settings page, but it varies from one TV to another, for which it would be best to check your TV's manual, or contact their support team.

  6. Verify that your device and TV are as close to the router as possible

    It is possible that your device and/or TV are not close enough to the router, which can make the Wi-Fi connection unstable.

    Try moving the devices as closely as possible to the router, and the AirPlay should start working properly.

  7. Enable and disable the Airplane mode

    Enabling and disabling the Airplane mode is like a soft restart of the device's components, some of which are the Wi-Fi, and the Airplay feature.

    To enable the Airplane mode, go to Settings and move the slider next to Airplane mode to the right. Alternatively, you can enable and disable it from the Control Center.

    To disable the Airplane mode, repeat the above-mentioned procedure, and move the slider next to Airplane mode to the left.

  8. Install the latest update of the operating system

  9. Restart the router

    For AirPlay to work, a stable Wi-Fi connection is needed. It is possible that the router was blocked and prevents establishing a proper connection between your devices.

    In this case, to fix the issue, restart the router, either via the power on/off button, or by unplugging it from power for a couple of minutes and then plugging it back in.

  10. Ensure that another device is not using your TV

    Maybe everything is fine with the AirPlay feature. Maybe another device is projecting to your TV, and until you stop that device, you can't get AirPlay to work.

    Being connected to the same Wi-Fi network is a must, for AirPlay to work properly. Otherwise, you won't be able to project your screen through AirPlay.

    To reset your device, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings, tap on General and select Reset.
    2. Tap on Reset All Settings, enter the password of the synchronized account and tap on Reset All Settings.

    If you tried all the options but none of them worked, consider resetting your device to its factory settings.

    To reset your device, follow the steps below:

    1. Turn on your computer and press and hold the Command and R keys (let them go after 30 seconds, when the apple logo appears)

    2. Select Disk Utility ->Continue

    3. Select the main volume -> (click Unmount) -> Select Erase

    4. Click Erase... to delete the partition -> Click Erase to confirm -> Click the red button in the top-left corner

    5. Click Reinstall OS X -> Continue -> Follow the instructions that follow
