Bio[]

Alex Lambert grew up with her parents in Florida as their only daughter along with her four brothers (Happy Holidays). While in high school, the Homecoming Queen turn Alex in for smoking, so Alex flushed her tiara down the toilet (Date Package Number Seven). In I've Got A Secret, Alex admits that during her sophomore year of college, she posed naked for Playboy Magazine's "Girls of the Southeast Conference" pictorial in the April 1986 issue. Alex is still embarrassed about this decision.

After college, Alex enlisted in the army, where she learned to fly the Apache Helicopter for the U.S. Army while she served in Desert Storm. At some point, she was engaged to a man named Dan, but ended their relationship because he was too jealous (Terminal Jealousy). After her tour was over, Alex opened a helicopter touring business in Florida, but, after a breakup, she moved her business to Nantucket to see if she liked it better in the north (Two Jerks and a Jill/It May Have Happened One Night/Another Wedding).

Though she initially rebuffs the amorous attentions of both Hackett brothers, she eventually falls for Brian's boyish charms.

She and Brian lived together briefly, but after Brian spends a wild night in New York with Joe and an old friend, Alex throws him out of the apartment and leaves Nantucket for good.

Nearly a year after their breakup, Alex returns to ambush Brian on the Mary Pat Lee Show. After the show, Alex speaks to Brian in private and admits she was bitter about the end of their relationship. After reconciling, the couple had sex and as Alex began to speak about getting back together, Brian realized that Alex was right and he only wanted her when he couldn't have her. Ultimately, they both finally decided it best to go their separate ways.

When she originally appeared in season four, Farrah Forke as Alex Lambert was only a guest star, but in season five she was prompted to the main cast. Alex's character was written off the series at the end of that season, but she made one more guest starring appearance in season six's Ex, Lies and Videotape (and an uncredited appearance in a flashback using archival footage in The Love Life and Times of Joe and Helen).
In her first appearance, Alex claimed to be awful at remembering names and gave the nicknames of "Slick" and "Ace" to Brian and Joe respectively.
Alex's favorite flowers are daisies (Two Jerks and a Jill).
In It May Have Happened One Night, when Joe escorted Alex home he saw a photo of her with her military troop on her mantle and a four poster bed with scented pillows. He used these facts later to confirm to an amnesiac Alex that he was in her apartment.
In It May Have Happened One Night, Alex learned that her commitment-phobic ex-boyfriend that she lived with for 3 years in Florida was engaged. In Another Wedding, Alex revealed that her ex-boyfriend's wedding was happening that same weekend in Florida.
In I've Got A Secret, Alex revealed that she was in her sophomore year of college in the spring of 1986, which means that she was likely born around 1967.
In I Love Brian, Alex reveals that she is a big fan of the country music singer Clint Black.
In The Key to Alex, Alex had a pet Rottweiler named Chopper.
In Terminal Jealousy, Joe revealed that Alex's favorite color was green.
In Happy Holidays, Alex revealed that she has four brother and they were all stationed at Fort Benning in December, 1993.
