The tape really doesn’t stick well to any surface, no matter how well you prepare it. 1 Like arfdawg September 20, 2020, 10:55am 3 4.5 stars on home depot LouCap September 20, 2020, 11:56am 4 I wouldn’t hang shelves with it, but it’s sticky as all get out! 1 Like scottjl September 20, 2020, 12:24pm 5 I haven’t used this brand of tape, but i have used other ‘nano tape’ and it is very sticky and useful. i wouldn’t trust it to hold up a 17lb shelf unless it had a good amount of tape on it, but small strips are great for lightweight things like wall clocks, pictures, posters, etc. as for removing without damage, unless you’re sticking concrete to concrete that isn’t really true. there’s no way you’ll get this to peel off paper without damaging the paper. it can take paint off walls, and leave a mark on wood surfaces. definitely test first. if you don’t want to or can’t put up nails, screws, etc. this stuff can be very useful, but it really depends on what you’re trying to hang and what you’re trying to hang it to. this is a pretty good price for a lot of rolls if you have use for them all. bonus tip. you can reuse the tape after you peel it off, just wash it with warm soap and water, let it air dry for a bit, it will be as good as new. 1 Like teegers September 20, 2020, 12:51pm 6 Any idea if this would work to put plastic on windows for the winter? Jolest September 20, 2020, 7:52pm 7 Only if the windows frames are unpainted metal or plastic. Anything else and the tape will take off the outer layer of whatever you put in on. And, if you use this tape, forget about reusing the window plastic (you’ll never get the tape off the plastic). Better if you buy some high-quality window-plastic tape.
