What is Theater Mechanicus

Tower Defense Event

Theater Mechanicus is a recurring tower defense event in Genshin Impact where you set up mechanici to prevent enemies from reaching the portal.

Completing a challenge in Theater Mechanicus will reward players with Primogems, Mora, and Level-Up Materials. In some cases, it will reward event currencies instead that can be used to redeem items in the event shop.

Towers used during the event are called Mechanici. You have to spend a set amount of Mechanicus currency to purchase the Mechanici you place during event stages.

You can only place Mechanici in the floor slots of a challenge area. It's up to you to place them in the most efficient way possible! We'll have guides for that too, of course!

How to Prevent Enemies from Escaping

There are two types of portals in Theater Mechanicus: the purple portal and the blue portal. The purple portal is where enemies spawn, while the blue portal is where enemies are trying to go.

Theater Mechanicus stages can have more than one of each type of portal, adding to the challenge. Again, you'll have to place your Mechanici efficiently enough to defeat enemies before they reach the blue portal.

How to Use Characters in Theater Mechanicus

Mechanici aren't the only tools you have, you can also use characters' Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills to help you out!

Although you won't be able to damage enemies with your attacks, you can still use your Elemental Skills and Attacks to apply Elements and trigger Elemental Reactions!
