Despite the overwhelming love and support from his family and girlfriend, Ally Lotti, talented rapper Juice WRLD succumbed to his lifelong battle with drug addiction.

Juice WRLD was born on December 2, 1998, as Jarad Anthony Higgins, in Chicago, Illinois. He spent most of his childhood in Calumet Park, but he later relocated to Homewood.

Juice's parents divorced when he was three, and he was raised primarily by his single mom, Carmella Wallace. Even though his mom was very religious, Juice began using drugs during his childhood and teenage years.

Juice once admitted that the absence of a father figure could have influenced his addiction. Juice's father was mostly absent from his life, but that did not stop him from mourning his dad when he passed away in 2019.

Throughout his short-lived music career, the rapper was very vocal about his struggle with drug addiction, and many of his songs contained lyrics related to drug use.

Juice WRLD's family, especially his mom, tried to help him with his drug addiction but achieved little success, but this didn't stop her from cautioning still.

In a since-deleted tweet, Juice WRLD's girlfriend Lotti revealed she suffered three miscarriages.

However, Juice, who was at the top of the rap game at the time of his death, was able to quit Codeine in July 2019 — thanks to the influence of his girlfriend, Ally Lotti.

RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLY LOTTI

Juice WRLD's girlfriend Ally Lotti is an Instagram influencer and has over 200,000 followers on the social media app. Before dating Juice, Lotti had already achieved some fame on social media.

Ally Lotti and Juice WRLD met just as the rapper's career began to take off. In July 2018, Juice revealed that he was living with his girlfriend in a story printed in the New York Times.

The lovebirds eventually went Instagram official in November that year. Once they made their relationship public, the two regularly took to their social media pages to dote on each other.

In fact, Ally Lotti became a regular feature on Juice's Instagram page, and he often spoke about his love for her. He also famously announced he had quit the recreational use of the prescription painkiller, Codeine, because of her.

While making the announcement, the "Lucid Dreams" crooner also apologized to Lotti for the pains he caused her. He wrote in a tweet:

"Bae I'm sorry I be tweaking, you've put up with more than ppl know I know I be scaring you..I love you... (sic)"

Unfortunately, Juice died of an accidental overdose of oxycodone and Codeine on December 8, 2019, after suffering a seizure at Chicago's Midway Airport.

Lotti was among the passengers aboard the flight and told authorities Juice had taken the opioid painkiller Percocet before his death.

DEVASTATED BY JUICE'S DEATH

Following Juice WRLD's tragic death, tributes began to pour in for the rapper from fans, friends, celebrities, and family. However, Lotti, who appeared to still be in shock from the loss, remained silent.

Lotti finally opened up about the huge loss she suffered and revealed some intimate details of her relationship with Juice while paying tribute to him on his death's first anniversary.

In a since-deleted tweet, Juice WRLD's girlfriend Lotti revealed she suffered three miscarriages while the rapper was alive and one more after his death due to stress.

While commemorating the anniversary, Lotti also shared two letters that Juice wrote to her and his fans. He wrote the letters early last year, while on tour with Nicki Minaj.

Lotti claimed he snuck them in her wallet, and she only found the letters last December while paying for the outfit she was going to wear for his funeral.

In the letter addressed to Lotti, Juice highlights his love and appreciation for the Instagram influencer and goes further to describe her as his "first and last true love."

Others have also been greatly affected by Juice WRLD's shocking death, including his fans and close friends. However, Juice's death has been most devastating for his family.

CARMELLA WALLACE SPEAKS OUT

Last year, the music world was dealt a heavy blow after it was reported that Juice WRLD had died following an accidental drug overdose.

While Juice's mom Carmella Wallace released a statement addressing his death on behalf of the family, she refused to issue any personal comment.

The pair had a very close relationship, and Wallace even had a strong influence on her son's musical preference due to her distaste for rap music. Juice once said about his mom's influence on his music:

So it was not such a big surprise to see Wallace knocked off her straddle by the death of her son. However, Wallace finally broke her silence back in October.

She opened up about her close relationship with her son and claimed the two talked about everything, including his drug addiction struggles. In her words:

"I talked to him about it. I told him my biggest fear was him overdosing on the stuff. That's why I made the decision I have to talk about it with other people."

Her son's death also inspired Wallace to set up a new foundation called "Live Free 999" to honor his memory. The foundation will help other young people who are struggling with mental health issues and drug addiction.

Juice WRLD's tragic death is another telling reminder of the dangers posed by the recreational use of prescription drugs.

Thankfully, his family, led by Wallace, are doing their best to make sure that his story saves many young people's lives.
