Alter Creations Worked With Hallmark's "Christmas Under Wraps"!

If you visit our house any day in December, chances are you’ll find a Hallmark Christmas movie playing in the background. We just can’t get enough of all the warm Christmas feels. We enjoy them so much that we even record several so we can watch them year-round!

We certainly enjoy the classics, but new Christmas movies are where it’s at. We’re sure we’ve watched them all at least a couple of times!

One of our favorite movies is called Christmas Under Wraps, which was filmed right here in beautiful Park City! This city is becoming more famous by the minute, and we know you’ll see more of it in the next few years.

But let’s go back to Christmas Under Wraps, a movie about a doctor (played by Candace Cameron Bure) whose plans quickly fall apart, and therefore has to move to and work in the small, remote town of Garland, Alaska:

As she excels as Garland’s trusted doctor, she warms up to the friendly town. But her suitor Andy’s father is hiding something from her in his top-secret shipping warehouse. Just as Lauren decides to get to the bottom of her suspicions, she receives news that will force her to make a life-changing decision, while knowing for certain that the Christmas season will never be the same. (Hallmark)

Having just been released in 2015, this movie has become a classic in our household.

But we don’t like it just because it was filmed in Park City or because it’s an all-around wholesome charming movie.

We also love it because we worked on some of the costumes worn by its characters! Yes, Alter Creations also specializes in movie and theater costumes, along with everything else we’re experts in.

How did this fun collaboration come about?

Last year, we got an interesting request from someone on the movie’s production team. “Of course we’ll help!” We don’t turn down projects, after all!

We don’t get wrapped up in names or fame: we accept all projects with equal interest and respect to the point where sometimes we forget whose outfit it was that we worked on or what movie they were featured in.

So imagine our surprise when finished working on some of this movie’s fun costumes…and then as we were watching it one day, we thought, “Wait a minute. That looks like Park City! And that outfit looks very familiar!”

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD ;)! (We had to take most of these from our TV as they’re nowhere to be found online.)

Take a closer look at the pictures and try to spot the character that’s in ALL of them: Andy’s father! Apparently he’s Santa (a secret everyone in the town knew except for Ms. Cameron Bure’s character).

There’s something else about Santa: WE worked on some of his outfits doing various fixes! This sure was a fun project, and seeing how well this character looks in all of them feels great every time we watch the movie.

      We don’t know a lot about the outfits her character wore since we worked mainly on all those worn by the guy who the plot ultimately reveals is Santa.
