Catch-22: George Clooney stars in drama movie

George Clooney is estimated to be worth an enormous $500million but the actor has revealed his wife won’t get all of his fortune as he gave a large sum of money away to his close friends. Just after meeting his now-wife Amal, George made the decision to give away $14million when he wrote his will.

George and Amal married in 2014 and the pair have three-year-old twins Ella and Alexander.

However, speaking to Lorraine Kelly, the actor revealed, he’d planned for his pals to get a share of his fortune when he dies.

He explained: “Most of my friends are trying to put their kids through school and college and most of them didn’t sort of get as lucky as I did.

“I just met Amal, but we weren’t dating, and I was making out my will and I was like, ‘Who you gonna give it to?’

“And I was like, well I am going to give to these guys so why wait until we are all buying dentures?”

George, 59, went on to reveal he has been living a relatively normal live in Oxfordshire throughout lockdown.

He detailed: “Well in Sonning particularly, which is this wonderful little village, it’s a hamlet I suppose.

“They are like family… all the places there, they really take care of us and we are very close to them.

“We invite them over to the house for Christmas dinner.”

The actor explained he has even been helping out with the housework.

“I was broke a good portion of my life, I lived in a one bedroom apartment and did all the laundry and stuff.

“It’s been a while, as you can imagine, and so suddenly I am doing ten loads of laundry and mopping floors and washing dishes and staining all the woodwork.

“I feel like my mother in 1964 and I have a whole new respect for her.

“She had no help at all and two kids when she was 19.”

This year, George will not be spending Christmas wit his family as he usually does but revealed his children are still excited.

“It’s very exciting [for the kids],” he commented. “It’s an odd year, as we all know, so the idea of not being with Amal’s parents and my parents for Christmas is unfortunate and sad but we are going to get through it, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

He added: “We were hoping to get back to see Amal’s mum in London, but we will get there.”
