Ambulance Support Worker Apprenticeships are for those of you who primarily want to become an ambulance driver. Ambulance jobs mean you will be working in both emergency and non emergency situations, transporting those with health problems to hospitals and other health facilities. Depending on the health status of your patients, you could be working as part of a team that will also include paramedics, or you might be working alone. Whatever the case, Ambulance Support Worker Apprenticeships will make sure you are given the full training to carry out your role. As well as patient care, you will also learn how to manage your manage your ambulance and build up the skills to drive safely at high speeds during an emergency. Paramedic Apprenticeships equip you with the skills and knowledge to work independently and to carry out your role to the highest standards. After you have completed your paramedic training, you will be able to work in a whole variety of settings. Paramedic jobs are so much more than just NHS ambulance jobs. In some situations, you could be on the frontline, working with ambulance teams and using your medical knowledge to treat patients. In other situations, however, Paramedic Apprenticeships will equip you to work in other settings, providing emergency care. As you can see from the title, the Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship Standard means that once you have completed the programme, your paramedic qualifications will be at honours degree level. The Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship Standard is a Level 6 Apprenticeship.
