Amy Sosa will make a final appearance at Cloud 9.

NBC says that America Ferrera will return for the series finale of Superstore on March 25. Details about her return are being kept quiet, although the network shared a first photo of Ferrera in the finale wearing the familiar blue vest of Cloud 9 workers (it’s at the top of the post).

Ferrera, who was also a producer of Superstore, departed the series at the beginning of the current season (and before NBC announced it would end after six years) as Amy was promoted to a corporate job at Cloud 9’s parent company. She had been scheduled to leave at the end of season five, but when the coronavirus pandemic cut production short, she agreed to appear in the first two installments of season six to wrap up her story arc.

Though Ferrera hasn’t been on screen since the second episode of the season, the fallout from her character’s departure has continue to play out in the show, most notably through the struggles her ex-boyfriend Jonah (Ben Feldman) has undergone since the breakup. Members of Amy’s family have also continued to appear on the show.

Ferrera, meanwhile, is set to make her feature directing debut with I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter at Netflix.

The hour-long series finale of Superstore is set to air at 8 p.m. ET/PT March 25.
