The anime crossover fighting game, Jump Force, will be delisted from digital storefronts in American territories on February 7, 2022. The game's online servers will also go offline several months later on August 24, 2022.

Bandai Namco has announced that all content related to Jump Force will be made unavailable for purchase next year, including all DLC, including the Jump Force Character Pack 1-14, Jump Force Character Pass 1-2, and its in-game currency JF Medals.

The Origins of Every Character in Jump Force

Sosuke Aizen. Aizen’s arguably the most iconic villain in all of Bleach. The main antagonist of the Soul Society arc, Aizen is able to use an ability called Absolute Hypnosis to completely control the five senses of anyone he reveals the ability to. He is also a master of kido, and most of his most powerful moves in Jump Force are products of that mastery. Gon Freecs. The pure hearted Gon Freecs is a young hunter off on a quest to find his terrible father who abandoned him when he was a baby. Like other Hunter x Hunter characters, Gon fights using Nen, which for him, manifests as freakishly powerful strength and energy that he likes to incorporate into a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.View 40 ImagesSanji. Black Foot Sanji is the Straw Hats’ chef, and is one of their most capable fighters. His fighting style entirely consists of kicks, as he needs his hands to cook, and thus they’re too important to fight with. He also will never kick a lady. Blackbeard. Marshall D. Teach, otherwise known as Blackbeard, is one of the big bads of One Piece, and one of the most powerful characters in the series thanks to the fact that he has two devil fruits: granting both the power of darkness and tremors.Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto’s greatest frienemy, Sasuke is a survivor of the Uchiha clan. In his adult years he’s become more of a swordsman, with a fighting style that mixes swordplay, electricity, and weird techniques named after shinto gods. Though, I like to pretend they’re named after Okami characters.Dai. Dai is from the manga “Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai,” which is based off the Dragon Quest video game series. In a story that should sound familiar to fans of Dragon Quest, the demon king returns, and Dai must set out a grand adventure to defeat him and bring peace back to the world.

When the servers shut down on August 24, various features will go down with it. Players will not be able to log into the multiplayer lobby, participate in online events and ranked matches, access clan functions, view the notice board or leaderboards, and accept rewards from the reward counter. Additionally, the in-game store will no longer function. The Premium Shop will go offline a little earlier, on August 1, 2022.

Our sincere thanks goes out to all Jump Force players and fans for their support; but with all good things, they must come to an end. Jump Force’s availability through digital purchase in the Americas will end on 2/7/2022 at 5 PM PST. pic.twitter.com/upzmWbqmcP

Jump Force's offline content will still be playable after August, including its campaign mode. Interestingly, players will be able to continue playing in online PvP battles, just not ranked ones. Any DLC purchased before it gets delisted in February is also playable when the game eventually finishes sunsetting.

Jump Force launched on February 15, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version was released on August 28, 2020. In IGN's Jump Force review, Mitchell Saltzman wrote, "If you’ve got like-minded anime fans who are down to smash some buttons and watch the sparks fly, Jump Force’s fighting system allows for at least a few hours of shallow fun before it gets stale and repetitive."
