  3. Anyone figured out the steamworks yet?
Aceviper 6 years ago#1Is it fully RNG? They said looking at the cat will tell you the next one but the same movements doesn't seem to work with the same buttons all the time.Do you need to get all of it at once for the overdrive? Will the steam gauge go down overtime or after a session?
jesseCheech 6 years ago#2Yes, the inputs are random and based on pure luck.The cats showing you what buttons to press is during a "bonus" activation that only happens randomly and only after you've successfully guessed a round right.Even if you mess up completely and guess wrong your steam gauge will still go up a bit, and the progress is saved permanently until you hit overdrive."Overdrive" happens once the steam gauge at the top reaches max red. It gives you all possible rewards, some really good bonus ones, and then completely resets the steamworks to zero, which you then start all over until you hit overdrive again.Guessing the buttons correctly just gives you better rewards and more steam for the steam gauge, but you can still have abysmal luck and reach Overdrive.So far I've completed three overdrives and aside from the first one the other two had a grip of mess ups, and even then, my armor spheres are nearing the hundreds across the boardHaven't you heard? The bird is the word.

Antfunk 6 years ago#5See I understand how it all works apart from the 1, 2 and 3 numbers that appear. I thought it was your hint but that’s not the case. They must mean something or why even have themat all.The steam works basically means that as you can get platinum tickets it’s a way of you grinding to get what I imagine will be the likes of mantles at end game if monster ring drops are screwing you or you have the tickets for a quick fix.

This.You usually get two shaking and one not. Going for the two shaking makes it more consistent.It is random but going from 1/3 to 1/2 is big.youtube.com/caoslayer All Gunlance Videos. Builds, Walkthrough, Naked Runs, and explosions, lots of explosions.

The 1, 2, 3 is just showing you which the actual answers were. More information you can use to try and guess what comes next.Normal service will resume shortly.

Ahh OK thank you! How on earth were you to know that lol. Fair play to you for spotting it :)!Something I missed is that someone wrote in one of these topics is that you can actually just hold R2 and it auto guesses for you if you want to zip through. Ultimately you are trying to unlock the cats and then the overdrive or whatever it is where the handler makes baked potatoes lol.

Fun fact about that part is that the Serious Handler will show up during the short period when the Handler is away early on and true to her name, she's actually trying to dissuade the cats from overloading the coal lol. PSN: AshScar88
