Anyone know where Pokemon save files are saved?

Hey guys.

Just wondering if, when you save in game, where the save files are stored. Is it the ROM, Emulator itself, or something else?

I just want to know because I switch PCs often and want to move my save around on a flash drive.

they go wherever youve told them to go in the path config. search your filesystem for .dsv files. by default theyre in a subdirectory of the directory that contains the emulator.

So they are saved in the ROM itself?

As I understand, .dsv is basically a DS rom file (I should mention that I'm relatively new to the whole emulation thing).

they are not stored in the rom itself. a .dsv is not a DS rom file. Youd know what a DS rom file is if you'd ever emulated a DS rom, which you ought to do before wasting breath talking about it.

OH, great, I've already run into one of you people.

Yeah, I read the file extension wrong (I was looking at .nds, herpaderp), boohoo, get over it. I said I'm new to this, so I apologize if I don't magically know everything about what you are talking about without making some mistakes. Something like "Are you sure? Make sure you aren't looking at a .nds" or ".dsv's are not ROM files, double check that you are actually looking at a .dsv" is a lot more constructive and helpful than whatever you think you posted.

I'm just going to go somewhere else with this question, this community is obviously not what I was looking for.
