Apex Legends is approaching its third anniversary and as always, Respawn is celebrating in style with three weeks of free rewards.

Since Apex Legends launched back in 2019, players have been receiving four major seasonal updates every year, alongside a variety of Collection Events and Town Takeovers.

However, there’s one limited-time event that always stands out from the crowd, and that’s the incredible anniversary celebration Respawn hosts every February.

However, with Season 12 or Defiance set to go live on February 8, the devs have decided to celebrate in a different way this year. Instead of hosting a specific event, players will be receiving three weeks of rewards just for logging in.

When is the Apex Legends Anniversary event?

Apex Legends is giving players free rewards to celebrate the anniversary.

Beginning on February 8, players will be able to claim a different set of rewards for three weeks straight by logging into the game.

Instead of just giving away packs, Respawn will also be gifting players three Legends with Octane, Wattson, and Valkyrie all being unlocked free of charge. You can check out the full reward schedule below:

• Week 1 (February 8 – February 15) – Octane + Three Thematic Packs
• Week 2 (February 15 – February 22) – Wattson + Three Thematic Packs
• Week 3 (February 22 – March 1) – Valkyrie + Three Thematic Packs + One Legendary Pack

No challenges need to be completed to claim the rewards, just simply load up the game at some point during the allocated dates.

Apex Legends Anniversary event skins

The anniversary event will go live on February 15, 2022 and will run until March 1.

The full list of event skins and new cosmetic updates have been posted to the official Apex website, complete with new Squad Skins, and the debut of Prestige Skins.

Per the announcement, “Prestige Skins are a new rarity level cosmetic Legend skins that each have 3 tiers…Once a Prestige Skin Tier’s challenge is completed a player will unlock that respective tier’s version of the Legend skin which can then be equipped.”

With each tier up in these new skins, the look gets more and more impressive. From the looks of it, these will become an instant classic for players to pursue.
